Headed for a Spaghetti Coma

Tonight was the free dinner--spaghetti, Parmesan cheese, salad, dressing, garlic bread, unsweetened tea. I got seconds on spaghetti, cheese, and bread. I turned down cookies, ice cream, and chocolate syrup. Well, I did eat one bite of ice cream and took one cookie with me.

The meth addicts with whom I speak are funny, polite, and determined to do better for the future.

The people running the programs  are good company and interesting.

I got an invitation to a Cowboy Church. Yeehaw!

Now, I am home and watching Young Sheldon. Maybe I can fight off this coma for ten more minutes.

Tomorrow, I may go chicken shopping....much fun.  I went to Aldi's. More later.

I don't think I have ever had spaghetti I did not like if I had enough Kraft Parmesan Cheese in the green shaker bottle. How about you? Are you a fan of spaghetti?

    1. monica,
I am not Italian as far as I know, but I might as well be.

  2. Yes but I rarely make it. My kids did not care much for it either. I'm a Parmesan snob though and refuse to buy the powdered Kraft- it's fresh for me only. I usually have a wedge in the fridge and I use the rind for flavoring soups. Today I'm finishing up some butterbeans and having a salad- sure not very exciting. Yesterday my daughter and I went out for lunch to a new Thai restaurant- DELICIOUS! I always get Thai food when I visit in San Fran but now we have some locally yay!

    1. Nan,
All five of us children loved spaghetti, so it was easy for Mama to please us at one meal. I am a fan of the Kraft. that is what we had on spaghetti last night. Usually, when people serve spaghetti to crowds, they put the Parmesan in the spaghetti or buy cheap, nasty Great Value (WM) brand.

I could eat a bowl of butterbeans right now with a tomato. I had Thai once, and it was enough for me. But. it is good you have a new restaurant in town.

I took Parmesan out of the freezer yesterday and still have a taste for spaghetti...maybe I will have Parmesan and spaghetti today.

    1. One,
After all this spaghetti talk, I think I need some more tonight. I love the concept of why Sheldon is the way he is on Big Bang Theory.

  5. There is nothing like grated fresh parmesan cheese, but, I always have the green Kraft container on hand. Kids love & so do adults.

  6. I love angel hair pasta. I had some last night with DS and his family. The tomato sauce had ground pork in it. Was very yummy. I ate the leftovers for a late night snack.

    1. Barbara,
I really dislike angel hair pasta, and I have no idea why. Now, I have to eat pork in all things where I did use ground beef because of my allergy. spaghetti is a delicious snack.

  7. I love spaghetti or any other pasta and I could eat it every day but my family get sick of it.
How do you prepare your butter beans?

    1. kylie,
I would get tremendously overweight, but I could, too. Look on the package for directions. I barely salt them although other people add ham and other spices. I think I boil them about 45 minutes. I like a little butter on them, just a pat in the pot.

Okay, hoping the annoyances have gone away.
