His death is not an emotional event for me. He was the first professor I had at UAB and one of the last. I was most interested in the movements and literature he taught--Transcendentalism in America and Romanticism in England. So, we have lost him. I still have what he taught me that has enriched my life.
My favorite teacher who made literature come alive for me was my seventh-grade teacher and 10th grade English teacher.
I rode to Publix with Tommy while he shopped for the items on our list--prunes, bananas, Gum Interdental brushes, 2 chunks cheddar bogo, Boston Butt $17. 23. We need slaw and salad.
Heart is beating wrong. I don't know what that means.
Do you often think of favorite teachers and professors?
