Poison Control

 Feb 16

steps 10,345

On Saturday night, I was so sleepy and was going to bed at about 10 pm. I was sitting on the bed and putting toothpaste on my toothbrush. I sort of wondered why the toothpaste was not the right color--white instead of Crest colored. As I brushed and sat on my bed, the taste was not there either. I kept my mouth wide open as I grabbed the tube and saw it was Lamisil. Obviously, I had grabbed the wrong thing.

There was no way to get it out. I took a wad of toilet paper and brushed at my teeth with Crest. I managed to get back to living room and had Tommy look up Poison Control. I had swallowed nothing and only had a smear on my toothbrush when I started.

The woman wanted to call me back in an hour to see if I was okay or for me to call back. I told her I was on my way to bed and felt I would be okay.

Well, I finally fell asleep at 4 pm on Sunday.

The last time I used the wrong product was long ago when I used my hairspray instead of my spray deodorant. I even got another toothbrush to brush my teeth again.

No need to tell me how not to make this mistake again.

There was a very strong storm happening last night. I knew I heard something being blown about. Tommy told me I was imagining things, that I was always afraid. Not so. He tells me it is my imagination! This morning, a huge planter was on the concrete in front of the car where it had been blown off the porch, Tommy said it knocked off several small pots of dirt and dead plants. There were tornadoes elsewhere with damage. Many people lost power. Today was a beautiful day, but it is getting colder and there will be rain, possibly snow.

As I was reading on the internet, I discovered an article that stated red light therapy could lessen the chance of a stroke or heart attack by lessening blood clots. I cannot find the article right now. I am too tired to look tonight. Have you heard of this therapy?

For some reason in the middle of the night, I stepped into the bedroom across the hall and looked around without stepping further into the room. I saw a Tootsie Roll bank that I bought many years ago. It was in a large bag. I brought it into the living room to examine since it seemed full of change. It was too loud to handle because Tommy was asleep. When he awoke, I opened it and dumped the change out. It was full of coins I don't remember having. There were only pennies, dimes, and quarters.

Tommy said he had counted them for me several years ago and decided to divide them by coin. The quarters were state quarters. I barely remember seeing those and certainly not dozens of them. The pennies were mostly the new, ugly shield pennies. The dimes look fresh off the mint. The state quarters look new, also. I cannot imagine how I came by these. I do have two more little banks. I know one is in the bedside table where I put spare change.

Okay, it is almost dawn, so time for me to go to bed.

Okay, I accidentally found the article.

Red light linked to lowered risk of blood clots

Happenings Today

This afternoon, I called the person who was to clean last week when I was still in the doctor's office. The person who answered had an accent and seemed to have no problem understanding me. Then, she said, "Just a moment." The same voice came back without an accent--her daughter, I presume. She had no idea about the cleaning cancelled last week. I was confused. She was confused. I had used Tommy's phone last week. Maybe that is why she said she did not have the address. She will come tomorrow.

At any rate, I had four fleas bite me last evening. I caught one and drowned it in Tommy's coffee. It was struggling to get away from me as it was trapped under my thumb nail running back and forth. The other hopped away. I was awake all night from the itch! This afternoon, I sprayed again. Tommy vacuumed some but not everywhere I sprayed.

We finally got my meds that doctor called in. From now on, I will ask for refill when I will be out in ten days. Between primary doctor and pharmacy, I often must go without med for heart or diabetes for a week or more. That is just not right.

I am so happy that DST will start this weekend. I am utterly sick of the short days. The tulip tree across the street has fully bloomed now, so that is something to cheer me up.

Finally, Tommy has agreed to replace the storm door. Well, he did not agree to replacing the door. He just acted like it was his idea. I can see light all around it and around the front door, too. Maybe he will agree to replacing that or insulating it. Mosquitoes, flies, and roaches have easy access to indoors right now. I point this out often.

I need to buy one of those plastic pieces to put on a corner where he rams his walker into it. I don't know if I can put it up, but at least I will have supplies for the person who can. I am glad I don't have any furniture he can hit. He never hits furniture anywhere else, just here! I know there is a less obvious way to protect the corner which could be done correctly with a lot more trouble. But, this will work.

My mattress and base will be delivered this week. YAY! Sheets will be here beforehand so I can wash them.  I still need a bed. So, storm door and car shopping will commence. Before we buy cars, I need to find out the process and how much room for clearance I need for a scooter to be pulled inside. Tommy cannot lift one. Well, he could if he absolutely had to, but it is too much for him.

Just now, I had a bowl of Greek yogurt sitting on the table by my chair. I reached for it and saw a speck in it, no larger than a speck of pepper. It was a flea! I suppose the bright light and white yogurt attracted him.

Right now, I am boiling eggs since I have no bread and no cereal. I do need something to eat...lol--brunch or linner. We won't be shopping before morning. Tomorrow, I will bake chicken and vegetables. We had just enough for a meal tonight. I need to make more slaw and open a can of green beans.

Today, we made a quick trip to Bessemer. We passed a man and woman starting a fire at the base of a tall tree, right against the tree on the roots of the tree which was about ten feet from the house. What on earth? We came back by and they had quit, and fire was out, I think. Rain probably caused them to stop.

So, not much happening today.

How about at your house? I have not seen ads yet online. Are there any good deals at your stores?

This and That Around the House

I tried calling the guy who sold me the mattress and base to upgrade what we ordered. But, he injured himself and did not come in to work. So, hopefully, he comes in on Sunday.

In the meantime, I feel terrible. I know you get tired of this complaining but consider how I feel with only 3 hours sleep two days in a row. That includes naps. Or, in the case of one day, no naps. I get grumpy.

These are the days that precooking and freezing are miracles for me. Before dinner Tommy said he could scrounge in the freezer to see what there was. He found a portion of a baked turkey breast for me that I ate with the last of the slaw and a can of asparagus. There will be enough turkey for both of us tomorrow if we want that.

He also found a freezer bag with a boneless, skinless thigh; one carrot; and two small pieces of potato--all baked together one day. He added the rest of the thawed broccoli to round out his meal.

These leftover meals certainly beat having to cook or eat a peanut butter sandwich that many older people eat. I am proud of leftovers that were planned. I think I cooked and froze his meal in January '24. He said the turkey breast was from January '23.

I am continually fighting getting my meds because of pharmacy and primary physician. I am not sure where the break in communication occurs. I often must leave a message. So, now I am out of med for diabetes.

Saturday, we awoke to see a huge yellow sticker on the car across the street. They have had a car parked partially on the street for well over a year. This car runs; there are never weeds; it is clean; the people are lovely. I wonder if someone reported them or if the police randomly found the car. Since it is in full view of our door and my chair, I just hope they don't think we complained.

The candy canes-red, green, and white--need to be rehomed. I am certainly not going to waste sugar consumption on candy canes. Not one was eaten. I put them in a red Moscow mule mug for decoration. They were 12 for 50 cents, so no big deal. I do not want to use them at all. I do know all the ways I could put them in and over other sweets. Just NO. They GO!

Nothing else was decluttered. However, Tommy did wash eight throws. They are all on pants hangers in a doorway since his dryer with heat from hell would melt them.

Does your decluttering ever involve candy?

Do you ever have trouble getting refills for meds?

Sleep Reversal

Sure, this is a great storage box for my wreath. It is for a 24' wreath. I suppose mine is that size since it fit the Sterlite container. However, the was the hardest thing I have tackled in a long time. If I did not have it on my lap, it would have been easier. Since I left the velvet poinsettia leaves clipped onto the wreath, I had to make sure they were all inside and would not get squashed in the two pieces of the storage. I am certainly glad I paid $6 instead of $19.95. I do have a wreath in storage with the perfect sized cardboard box.

There is still a stack of Christmas stuff, a small stack that needs to be tackled. Maybe before Valentine's Day, I can get it done.

Tonight, we had the pork chops and potatoes I was going to freeze. I cannot eat the potatoes and enjoy them as they have such a sharp taste that it makes my jaws hurt. Tommy says they are not a problem. So, I had the chop, a few bites of potato, and a salad. He ate my potatoes with his potato and pork chop.

The receipts from grocery trip are somewhere I cannot find. However, I bought 4 bags of frozen broccoli florets bogo, one onion, halos. I picked up the bag of Halos and was shocked at how heavy the bag was. Plus, I was puzzled as to why Halos kept coming. Now, I had emptied a little box. I was so tired that an empty box puzzled me. When I got home, I realized that I had bought five pounds of Halos, more than I had ever bought. The box should have come with me. I only bought one onion because the last bag I bought was full of onions that were green inside with no clue when I bought the bag. The florets were as cheap as fresh broccoli with no chance of going off before I can use them.

Tommy assured me he won't be helping me eat the Halos. I have seen him eat three at a time. I have no idea why he is not going to eat these, too. I only bought one navel orange for me and ate it as soon as I came home. It was just starting to dry out! But, the pith was delicious.

Thursday, Tommy browned a package of ground beef and drained it. I put on an 8 oz. package of large elbow macaroni, and opened two cans of unsalted chopped tomatoes. One had basil and two other herbs. I combined the ground beef, elbow macaroni, and two cans of unsalted tomatoes--Goulash. We ate it with shredded cheese. I have not made this in 30 years. It was so delicious. We still have leftovers for one person.

I bought squash to make a squash casserole and cannot remember the recipe. I found some online that had everything but the kitchen sink. Not what I want. One day, I tried to remember, and the result was awful and dry. I think I used the wrong kind of cheese. So, I bought different cheese.

Good news! Friday night, after having been out of the house for six hours, I went to bed at 10:30 pm. Of course, I awoke at 4:30 am, got up and went back to sleep in my chair at 9 am. Then, I awoke at noon and figured I had seven hours sleep. Good deal. I know it is not an ideal sleep pattern, but at least I am not awake all night and asleep all day.

My sleeping problem? I need to watch something funny to relax. So, I am going to get a cd of Third Rock and a cd player. We can watch this early instead of my waiting until 2 am. Laughter relaxes me. I might get Frasier and Mike and Molly, too. Tommy has boxes/cases of VHS tapes and no tape player. We need something to play those, too.

We went to the pharmacy to pick up two meds, one for each of us. My prescription was ready. So was Tommy's. He was just going to pay for it when I reminded him to ask the price--$70 for his insulin. This is the third time he has discussed this at the pharmacy. He almost went ballistic, and he is never upset with people. Well, he keeps it under control except about this. He was punching his finger toward the tech behind the window as he fussed. I told him to have her get a pharmacist. It went better after that. Finally, it was $35. His doctor refuses to write it so he gets the lesser price. So, pharmacist has to adjust the amount dispensed to make it $35. This is an ordeal.

Next week will be a good week because the temps are about 50F and it will be dry. We have had to use the ac this week.

What's happening with your weekend?

Do you like goulash?

Galileo Thermometer

Tommy has a Galileo thermometer, but not this one. It does not work, though.  The fixes are on the internet, so got that. If I cannot fix it, he will sell it. Well, he might sell it anyway. His is over 40 years old. Maybe my friend who has a shop will buy it.

Today, we got so much done. We left home at 12:30 and arrived home after 6:30. It almost did me in. I was thwarted by electric carts that did not work at two places. A time crunch caused me to just leave one store for an appointment.

As I was hurrying along in a slow cart, I came upon a wreath storage that was reduced from $20 to $6. I snatched that up along with a red bin with no lid in sight. I will go back to search for the lid later.

We shopped at Publix, forgot some things and came back after we abandoned the pharmacy that screwed up both our prescriptions. My prescription has been there for three days, at least. They told me it would be ready in 25 minutes. Shock! Tommy talked to a person this morning there who told him that his new insulin would be $30, just like the old one. Well, it is $70 now. While he was talking to the person, I tried to get him to get name and if she were a pharmacist or tech. Soooo, he could not say who told him his med price. And, they could not fill it until Saturday, yet Friday morning at 10:30, it was supposed to be filled and waiting. That is when we left to go back across the street to Publix. We decided to just come home.

We bought so much food we can barely get it in the refrigerator and freezer. Tommy was distressed I bought so much. But, I cannot bear to relate that because I am exhausted. This post will not be edited at all. I am beyond tired.

Do you have or have you ever had a Galileo thermometer?

Nothing Happened Today

I was asleep, but Tommy said maybe there was 20 minutes of rain and terrific wind. There was gently rain for a bit after that. No one lost power. So, preps and worry for nothing. But, I would rather be prepared.

Today, I went to pharmacy to pick up four prescriptions. One has been there for about two weeks. Something about a PA and then there is no such med. Well, I doubt the doctor is stupid. Then, another has been there for a week. There is always a reason it is not filled. Finally, I was told I would need a new prescription. Well, doctor did not call it in. So, I had another one today and called it in. When I went to the pharmacy, it was the only one ready.

We cooked six bscb tonight along with the rest of the nasty, bitter carrots and some better carrots. That was dinner for me. Tommy ate the rest of the honey baked turkey and the rest of carrots and potatoes cooked the first of the week. Tomorrow, I will freeze 3 of the bscb.

I will be shopping in person or online for blouses. The last one that fits me is in shreds. I am so disgusted with my body.

The other cleaner the guy recommended called and I was getting out of the car. So, I asked her to call back. She has four children, two very little, she said. So, she probably called when she had time. Now, I have to wait for her to have free time...sigh.

She said she would charge $350. I was shocked since I did not want or expect for the whole house to be cleaned in one day. I would never be able to find anything. She would either just stuff things somewhere or throw it in the garbage. I have no idea what this guy is telling these women.

I finally got the whole story on the light by front door. When Tommy bought the house, someone had painted over the screws so Tommy could not get them out to change the bulb. Forty years because of paint on a screw! Four years of my being terrified in the dark! I wonder if the fixture is rusty and unsightly.

We cannot find the lights from Lowe's I was charged 50% off instead of 75% off. That is annoying.

Tommy keeps telling me he will help me with Christmas decorations still out. No!

It is supposed to be a cold, long 10-15 days according to the weather guy. Lovely, not. We might even have a bit of snow. If we are lucky, it might stick for a day and then melt.

Tomorrow, I might make soup with hamburger meat and all sort of vegetables. I just wish I had home canned tomatoes. Maybe cornbread for Tommy.

How was your day? Cold? Wet? Snow? Freezing?

Who still has Christmas still out and stacked?

Outgrowing clothing?

Did You Ever Do Something Incredibly Stupid?

I cannot believe what I did! But, it all boils down to being a bit ill and a lot tired. I realized on Saturday that I was getting worse instead of better. The uti was not going away; it was returning!

Pills were counted. There were too many left. What had I done and HOW?

So, I called the doctor on Monday and told the nurse what I had done. I offered to give another sample, anything. I was not sure if they would give me more antibiotic.

Tuesday, I slept from 9 am until 4:30. There was no phone call from the doctor. Around 6 pm, I decided I needed another refill of a heart medication. We went down about 7:30 to get an emergency supply (3 pills) until I could figure out what happened to the prescription for the heart meds I received on the 20th. It was a surprise when the antibiotics were there, prescribed and ready.

I came home, sat down, caught my breath and reached to the left to my table. My hand was directly above the heart med, a full prescription, 90 days. I tell you I have been sick and out of it. Certainly, this is not my normal method of taking meds. I fully believe I will get better now.

Tommy sits with his day planner, mulling over something. Every time I ask, I think he is studying appointments or something. No. He is recording when college football games happen and who is playing. I am so glad I bought him a day planner.

We did nothing towards Christmas decorating. Tommy pruned lots of flowers in pots. He is getting ready to put them all in the laundry room. He also washed my underwear, towels, washcloths, and nightgowns. In the freezing weather he went two more times! He must have been freezing.

Dinner was great, all leftovers: baked chicken breast/brown rice/pimiento/broccoli, green beans, slaw. Then, I had 1/3 of the last roll Tommy was eating...lol. Plus, 6 pecans or a dozen pecan halves.

I decided I would only have two slices of bread each day. The rice was the sub for that, so no bread today. I did have four cookies. So, sue me...lol.

We have plans for tomorrow. It won't be raining.

Have you ever screwed up your medicine so royally? I still have not figured out how I thought I took it and did not. No pill I have looks like it.

I see people have snow. We are so dry, but the weather guy said we would have snow if it weren't so dry. Do you have snow?

What was your stupid med screwup? Or, someone you know?

Unbelievable

The second doctor I went to wanted to up dosage on a med. So, he "increased" a dosage of 850 mg three times a day to 1000 mg twice a day.  ???

850 x 3 is 2550 mg
1000 x 2 is 2000 mg

So, he is actually reducing the dosage!

And, he forgot to give me a meter for finger pricks.

Nice man, good bedside manner.

I certainly do not want to be unconscious with medical people making medical decisions for me.

Two huge tubes of blood were drawn. It took one woman to not find a vein, a second to show a third where to stick me.  It is very hard to find my veins.

Friday, I had to go to salon to get my hair washed since I cannot wash my hair due to shoulder issues from the wreck. When I described what was happening, the nurse practitioner said these were classic whip lash complaints, and yes, they do show up months later. I thought I was over the worst of the repercussions from the shoulder injury. And, they are talking surgery!

I immediately felt much more healthy after my hair was washed. I felt run down and depressed before my hair was clean. It has been over a week since I could wash it.

Nuts are going to be the death of me. Do you ever slide along after stepping on acorns on concrete? Now, the hickory nuts are falling, nuts larger than a golf ball. Sometimes, squirrels bring pecans from the neighbor's yard. My yard is a hazard area for me. Tommy always picked them up for me, but now it is hazardous for him and he cannot pick them up.

Do nurses have a difficulty finding your vein to draw  blood? Do you have nuts that cause walking to be hazardous?

Little Things Really Help

~~When I wanted to take any medicine or supplement., I was frustrated as I searched for the right bottle. Instead of having them in the kitchen cabinet where I did keep them, I put them all on top of the dehydrator. I kept knocking them off. So, I put them in a little bag, the rectangular kind that has a zippered top.  That works so well.

For the last year, I have tumbled these around in the bag when looking for the med I need to take.  Wednesday night, I bought little colored 3/4 inch sticky circles, the kind sold for yard sale use, blank ones. On the tops of the bottles I put green circles with the name of the med. Green is for anything that controls allergies.

Yellow dots are for other meds--prescriptions or supplements--I take regularly for whatever.

Red/pink circles are for a prescription that I take for a finite time, like an antibiotic.

Of course, I wrote the names on each colored circle, too. Now,my frustration level will diminish greatly.

Instead of putting new stickers on new bottles of meds, I will just switch out the old cap to the new bottle if they come in the same size bottles. So far, I have only gotten bottles that use one of two sizes of lids. That will save having to use a new circle each time I get a new med--prescription, otc, or supplement.

~~Since my cell phone slipped out of my pocket  all the time years ago, I hooked an id badge clip onto the lariat on my cell phone. I clipped the cell phone to the front of the pocket that is made into the side seam of my pants. Often, I would get up and my cell phone would be hanging by the clip!  Finally, the clips all broke. I had been taking the clips off id badges I had collected in a junk drawer. Wednesday night, I bought a package of 12 Id badge clips.

The badge clip on my cell phone was really handy the few times I was in the hospital or ER since I could just clip my phone to my pillow. Until the last clip broke, I did clip my phone to my pillow here on my bed. That way, I did not have to stand on my head to find the cell phone when it slipped off my bed.

Both of these fixes will help me immensely even though I did have to spend money. I have run out of people to ask for the badge clips!

~~Remember the key safe I bought for $25? I have used that twice in two days. On Tuesday, the key alarm did not go off as I got out of my car at WM after midnight. The key was in the ignition! A woman who works there was on supper break and brought me home where I got the key from the key safe and we went back to WM.

Wednesday, I left the house to get into the car. As I reached the car, I realized the side seam in my pants was ripped open just a bit. I would keep my hand over it, I thought, too tired to go back to the house. As I left the house in the car, I realized the whole crotch was out. Sooo, I came back in and changed my pants, leaving the phone in the house, too. The key safe saved the day!

I called publix Corporate and was told that as long as the meat trays were thoroughly cleaned in order to not attract animals or insects, they were acceptable. It seems I have typed that before. ???

I washed out the meat tray from a chuck steak so I can recycle it. I put the steak in marinade for a turkey bag on Thursday. Potatoes will go in there, too. Potatoes will be peeled on Wednesday. Exbf gets that to take home. I will eat a boiled egg for dinner tomorrow night.

Six eggs went into a pot Wednesday night to boil. Thursday morning, exbf comes and I will be hungry out doing things with no breakfast. I can gobble down an egg before he comes. I got a sausage and biscuit last week, but a $0.17 egg beats a $2 biscuit from Hardees and it is better for me.

That's not much, but it is all that happened on Wednesday. I did not feel well enough to do anything much.

Thursday--I have a mower attached to my mower. Hopefully, he will get the front lawn done before I have to take him home so I can get ready to go have a ultrasound. Whoopee for getting the lawn mowed. At least the front will be done.

What have you spent money on like the sticker labels and id bag clip that saved you a lot of frustration. And, you had looked for cheaper or free fixes.

Free Medication Information

When I was in Publix, I picked up a brochure, "No Wallet Needed." There are free medications for diabetes, high blood pressure, allergies and asthma, antibiotics, and other conditions.

publix.com/freemeds

You can find the rules and names of the meds.

Friday Funk

I awoke about 8:15 and was at the doctor's office 30 minutes later. It was scary driving the way I feel. Since I was sure I had a uti, they had me give a specimen. I was staggering when I came out of the bathroom, sort of stumbling and swaying. What do you know? When I had take about 6 steps, I saw the doctor was watching me as he waited for me. I don't think I had to say much about how horrible I felt.

Yes, I had uti and sinus infection. So, I had to go to WM to pick up prescriptions. While there, I bought two gallons of waters. There is one gallon here. Two of these bottles, when empty, will be refilled at neighbor's faucet if J will help me.

After picking up the meds, I went to Publix because I had no milk. It turned out the half gallons of a2milk were $6/2, so I got two. That saved me $2.56. I will go back next Tuesday before the ad goes off and buy two more half gallons. They are usually $4.28 plus tax for a half gallon.

I finally got someone here from water dept. As it turns out, no one turned off the water. Then, why did flushing the commode once result in a commode not refilling? Why is there no water in faucets? Beats me. The guy was stumped too. He was amazed at the depth of the water. The water is off now, finally.

Someone is coming with a sump pump tomorrow late to help. I hope it helps to drain the water. He said he would get the leak "plugged up" so I could have water. There is no way to figure out what the problem is until the water is out where the location of the leak can be ascertained.

In the meantime, I have partially solved the horrendous bill this month, but it will still be as big the next month because the meter was read on the 8th of Sept. ugh Well, that is a hurdle to cross next month.

All day, I have been up and down, sleeping a bit, watching tv a bit. I need to drink lots more water than I have today. I have no desire to eat or drink anything. I fed Dominique early. She had a bit of water, so tomorrow I will carry a couple of bottles of water to her and partially refill her water.

Writing this has been a long, arduous task, so I will publish and collapse.

Mostly Frugal Friday

Sleep came easily last night and lasted about two hours. That's not good! About 4:30 am, I ate chicken I had cooked with frozen broccoli and cheese on top. At some point while it was still dark, I decided I could not find my keys. That stressed me and made sleep impossible.

Even when I became really tired and my chest was hurting, my body would not sleep. About noon, I took something to sleep. Well, I got another three hours. I awoke to my chest still hurting me. After eating something and drinking lots of water, I felt only a bit better.

I think it was about six o'clock this evening when I found my keys. When I took the three items back to Walmart, I was $22 richer. Yesterday, I got a refund on items and was $32 richer.  I only respent $18 of the refunds.

Luckily, there were few deals in ads to tempt me to stock up. I could get Miracle Whip that was reduced, but there will be sales on MW for the Labor Day sales.

Speaking of Miracle Whip, I took it out of the refrigerator on Wednesday and was holding it with one hand when it slipped out of my hand and crashed to the floor. It was spinning round and round like a bottle in "spin the bottle". The spinning bottle flung out about a cup of MW in one glob and several little spots all over the kitchen. The whole spinning deal was quite impressive to watch. I forgot I had to carry most things with both hands!

The lid broke in pieces like it was made of glass. I still have not found all the pieces. Since I had just opened this the day before and the old jar was in the trash in the house, I just got the old lid from the trash to wash. Right now, the MW jar is covered with Glad Wrap.

On Thursday, I bought something with a $1 coupon on the top. The checker did not pull off the coupon and I forgot to tell her. This Friday morning, I was putting the stuff up I brought home last night. When I pulled the coupon off, it had expired in 2016. However, this is not a product with even a use-by date.  As soon as the customer service line was open, I called and will be getting two $1 coupons to use. YAY for the save.

The infected bite on my leg is getting better, much better. However, the med I take by mouth is awful, causing the worst taste in my mouth for hours after taking it. The reflux from the med is horrendous. The antibiotic cream is helping the other bites I have scratched, thankfully.

It is actually cool outside and my ac inside is keeping the place comfortably cool.  It was extremely hot all day yesterday and cool last night. I think it is a cold front with a reduction in humidity.

It is after 10 pm, so I think I will have oats, and buttered toast, unsweetened applesauce, and milk for dinner. I may cook something since it is so cool.

Your turn
Do you have trouble sleeping after stress, mental or physical? Are you a butterfingers when tired or injured? What is the most spectacular "drop" you have had?
