I will try to type

But, there  will be no edits.

I have felt so bad today that I wanted nothing healthy to eat. However, I did not resort to junk food. I decided I wanted grilled cheese. I asked if he would try to make it for me if I helped him. He agreed.

I am not a good slicer. When I have torn or shoulder, I am even worse at slicing. He brought everything to me and then took cheese back in kitchen sliced. When I got everything assembled in the skillet, I told him to cook it low and show if he was not going to stay with it. He did cook it low until I came in and turned it up. I told him to cook it higher like I had it since cheese would be already melted.

He came in looking proud of the perfect grilled cheese on plate. He said, "Now, I am going to make one for me now that I know how." It was cute. He had never made a grilled cheese sandwich before! I suppose I should not be surprised.

Dinner was drawn out, not a cohesive meal--grilled cheese sandwich, cabbage, strawberries, pecans, 3 prunes, 1/2 banana. I ate one food at a  time.

I forced myself to type this.

On the phone, my family doctor told me this was too mist for his office, so I need to find another doctor.

Tommy looked at the incision for me. It is inflamed and painful, unlike when it was done originally. So, need help with help.

Temp in high 80s. Had hair colored at shop. $85 + $20 tip. I really look great...lol. Since I cannot raise right arm to apply color or wash my hair, I had no choice.

Exhausted and in pain!

Staying Out of Trouble

Feb 3

steps 10,450

Today has been another slow day. I did not sleep at all Saturday night. So, all my sleeping was during the day. I slept three hours today with no nap, so hopefully I will sleep well tonight.

For dinner I had: tuna, MW, chopped carrots, and two boiled eggs eaten with two huge Romaine leaves. Tommy ate something. Then, I made pimiento and cheese and packed me a sandwich for tomorrow when we are out. Tommy will make his out of whatever he wants.

I finally tried fixing the no-color problem on my hair. I still have hair that is white. The doctor won't care. I will, very much will.

As I was telling Tommy something from the past, I decided to see if this very nice man from our church was still with us so I could get in touch. Nope. Dead. Then, I looked up another family in another location and cannot find her. The death is not overwhelming, bringing me grief. But, where is the other family??? I will work on that another day.

My Victoza is promised for Wednesday. I do hope I get it because I cannot stand the anxiety I went through not having meds and having to go 64 miles to get only enough for two or three weeks.

The weather was beautiful, a little humid and the temperature was about 76F, I think. That is what Tommy told me. I only made one call of the many I need to make, but there is tomorrow.

We are still inundated with glitter from the deer I hit and rolled around with on the front porch! I even get it in my bed, off my feet, I suppose.

The abandoned house next door has a fire ant mound that is two feet in diameter and about a foot tall. I am going to go over there and use Amdro around it. Hopefully, I won't get in trouble. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Coloring My Hair and Everything Else

 Jan. 26

steps 10,452

I slept a whole 7 hours last night, awoke hot and had to get up. I lurched down the hall and stabbed the wall with a thumb nail. I wonder what damage I did. My nails are lethal weapons, especially my thumbnails. If anyone ever attacks me, I will leave him permanently scarred, maybe bleeding to death.

At the grocery store I did not even slow my cart as I grabbed a bag of Quaker Chocolate Rice Cakes. Yesterday, I had two left of fourteen. I wanted to eat them, but neither Tommy nor I could find them. When I came into living room and sat down, the bag was sitting next to the remotes. I ate them. But, when Tommy awakes, I will say I have not seen them. That will send him on a chase. I won't make him look, not that mean. There was a time about 40 years ago that I ate rice cakes all the time, but they did not have chocolate.

4:15 and everything melted down. Tommy will never be near me with color and my hair. Now, I cannot put it on like they do in a shop, but it works, so don't tell me how a shop does it or I should do it. I take the bottle of color with the little tip and use the tip to get it on hair in close rows in some places. Then, I use a toothbrush to sort of poke it down along the lines so color it to roots.

He started at the front like I told him, then sort of swirled the toothbrush until I had a rat's nest on top of my head back to crown. He did this over a dozen times. Yes, I screamed at him lots. One time, he cut my hair off four inches too short. I only wanted length off. Years later, he said he did that to get out of doing it again. Nope, didn't work.

I told him he pays for hair color for me at shop. He agreed by saying nothing...lol. I really hate it when people do things wrong to get out of doing it again. I just refuse to do whatever it is! There was more color smeared and dropped than ever before. At my house I have colored my hair without ever getting a drop on anything. I colored my hair at daughter's house and spilled not one drop. She would have told me if I had anything spilled or dripped. Now, I have to do it sitting in my recliner.

This is something I have never paid to be done. People have said it looks great. Now, I cannot get arms up for so long. I will remedy this problem. Plus, I have to sit in lift chair because I cannot stand too long.

OT story. She came in smiling saying she could smell marijuana in our front yard. We wonder who was smoking so that it wafted into our yard. She said it was strong. So now we wonder who it could be.

After all the talk of egg shortage, I finally asked Tommy how many eggs we have. We have 13. So, there is no catastrophe about to happen when we run out of eggs. Tomorrow, we will buy more at some price.

I may go to the store and get a garland for the Christmas tree to make it a Valentine tree. It only had red balls on it this year, so it will work fine. I will figure out something for St. Patrick's Day and Easter. The red makes it work for patriotic holidays. I won't use the multicolor lights that are on it.

Have you ever had a Valentine tree using your Christmas tree?

Do you put color on your own hair or go to a stylist. Problems with either?

Do you eat or like rice cakes?

Are your nails lethal?

Fruitful Monday

No, I did not call to report sexual harasser. Something happened. I think cleaner arrived. Tuesday, I promise.

Today we got up early, about 10 am and were out the door in an hour. We first went to get my driver's license. Then, we both ordered title to sell the cars, mine and his. He suggested we eat at CFA, and I am weak. I only had cereal and milk. CFA is so delicious.

Since we were practically across the street from where we bought the car, we dropped by to show them the lost trim and disaster of scratches on the car. I told them we did not want it buffed out because the scratch was too deep. The obnoxious came out and interrupted my talking with the man who would coordinate with repair people.

I told him to go away because I did not want to see him or talk to him. He kept on and I raised my voice, yelling at him to go away. He persevered in trying to be Mr. Personality. I screamed at him to go away and get out of my face because I did not like him and what he had to say.

When he first came up, he told me it was only aftermarket trim and my car was actually okay. I saw red and his smirking face. When I turned toward Tommy, about four salesmen with their mouths open. Tommy did not care.  Another four and the guy in charge of getting the repair done were very quiet outside my side of the car.

I was sort of embarrassed then realized he was the instigator. I was too hot to have any regret. The guy I yelled at finally lost his smile and said, "You are serious, aren't you?" Stupid man!

We were near Jared's, so Tommy stopped and bought me a necklace for my birthday that was over a month ago.

Cleaner called, so we went home. She was here for two hours--brought out Halloween decorations, made my bed, cleaned up clutter behind and to the side of my chair, helped me clean up my room a bit, and put color on my hair. I use Guarnier 40 but had her put 415 over that. It gives sort of a reddish hue, so it does not look solid black.

Tommy changed out my blue bird for a black bird. These are all the same bird, just spray-painted a different color. I have a red bird with a cardinal crest, painted red for Christmas. The Halloween stemless wine glass has an orange, battery-operated tealight in it. Halloween decorating will be slow this year. But, it is happening.

Overall, it was a very good Monday, except for the guy in my face. Don't bother defending him or feeling sorry for him. I won't publish your comment.

Because of cleaner coming, I did not get a chance to make calls I needed to make...tomorrow.

There is a drive for books happening. I had bought a book but gave it to cleaner for her niece.

My photo for driver's license is horrid! How did I get so old and saggy?

Shortages from Strike

I read about six articles for the lists of things we will miss first. It seems bananas are at the top of all the lists. Tomorrow, I will buy about five pounds of bananas and peel, cut in half and freeze. I refuse to leave the peel on. Using those are like peeling snot as I have said before. I will take the frozen pieces of bananas, thaw, mash and drink in about a cup of milk. This will serve to satisfy my banana need. I will buy extra hair color, too. I don't think tp will be short, at least not according to articles. Who knows?(rhetorical)

I took an hour nap before the debate. Dinner was leftovers from yesterday--meatloaf, broccoli, smidgens of Brussels sprouts, and green beans. Tommy heated up a can of mixed vegetables and had those, too. Later, I saw the mixed vegetables through the glass storage container. I thought it was candy corn in the refrigerator. No, it was corn and carrots I saw. Just up from a nap makes me confused sometimes. Besides, I don't know where the tiny bag of candy corn and Autumn mix is right now.

Today, the city's contractor cleaned up the yard next door, except they left dead vines hanging from the top of the porch. Plus, they left six-foot weeds in between two fences. Trees are in there, too. I sent an email to city dept on Friday. That worked better than talking to people. I did mention that mosquitoes and rats were a problem.

Two packages were on the front porch when we came home. One huge and heavy one was luggage, 5 pieces from Macy's for $79, free shipping. The other, tiny, was a box of my hair color. Yes, the luggage is cheap, but it will only go to car and into a motel or hotel, so no air travel to endure.

Tomorrow will start early, so I dread tomorrow. But, I eagerly look forward to it.

If I can remember, I will make salmon croquettes on Wednesday. I really want gravy with them. Maybe Tommy will make the white sauce. I will teach him how to brown it.

The lack of sun and cool weather has been very pleasant. But, tomorrow the sun and heat will be back. At least, no rain.

Friday Heat and Holiday

My energy flags quickly these days. Friday, I washed my hair just two days after applying color. I am not sure why, but using the cream rinse included with the shampoo causes me to have greasy looking hair. Plus, if feels like it was sprayed. Now, my hair and looks and feels normal. I was embarrassed to be seen right after color, not the usual affect of color.

Thursday night, we did other cooking after midnight. Plus, I was energized, gathering laundry, putting away stuff scattered and just left to lie about. It was very productive.

Today, we went out and came back home. Tommy went into the house. As he came out, he had one of my real cokes, caffeine free. I asked if he brought it for me. No, he needed sugar since his dropping blood sugar was too low. He got into the car and tried to open a small piece of cheese. He never asks me to open things. His hands were trembling. He could not figure out how to get the cheese out of the package that had been cut open by me on three sides. I told him to drink the Coke. His monitor was not working, but he could see a plunging trajectory of his blood sugar.

He was about to drive. His blood sugar rose enough for him to be safe. He seemed to be driving okay. I am so stressed watching traffic, how he drives And, it was so hot today.

When we came home, I took a nap, and he peeled potatoes and carrots. I assembled the cooking bag. At 8:30, it was done so we could eat.

We have buns gotten cheaply, yet they are Sara Lee. I will freeze most of them. Having the freezer with enough room to freeze bread and buns saves money. I can eat a hamburger or hotdog on a piece of bread. But, the bun is so much nicer.

Tommy put a note on our neighbor's door. Her son said he would hang a light. He is an electrician with some company. We intended to pay him. This has been over 4 years ago. So, she called back and left a voicemail. She said an electrician came 3.5 years ago, started a job at her house and never came back. She said she understood. Maybe the work will get done yet!

Cleaner called and said she has been ill. Yet, she did not miss work. Okay, so maybe she did not feel like doing more. Next Tuesday, she will let us know something.

The woman to whom I gave food will not reply. So, will never depend on her doing anything, like calling me. Or picking up food I collect just for her.

Thursday night, I ordered another outfit like I bought five years ago. I can wear this one with abandon and not have to save it for good...lol. When I took the one I own out of storage this spring, it was squashed and in with other items. I shook it out and wore it without one wrinkle. I also ordered garbage bags for the kitchen. They are hard to handle because they are so heavy, one less thing that will not hurt Tommy.

We need potatoes, eggs, and strawberries. Tomorrow, we will go to Publix during their sampling events. Yum! We may have pork ribs Monday. We will be staying home, not cooking much.

There are things to do outdoors, like clean off the porch. But, it is so hot, I just don't care. Tommy would have to be with me, so he does not need the heat stress, either. I only slept four hours Thursday night because of the heat. The ac was set on 67. Tommy was bundled up in front of the ac vent by his chair, so it was cool in the living room. Well, not too cool except in front of the ac vent.

What are your plans for this weekend? Food, fun, family?
