Patience above! I have never seen such before. I am in the process of incorporating into my work outs and stretches means to get up from the floor without using my arms. I hope in time this keeps up my lower strength to do so.
Urspo, I cannot get on my knees at all. Well, I would not be able to walk after. I can use my arms to get up. The firemen hold my hands and lift me. So, arms are better than legs for getting up eve though I have torn rotator cuffs. Good for you for getting onto this early.
Can both of you lift and push 29 lbs--on a rug or floor? It is not on lockable wheels so you will have to shove it to the fallen person.
You will have to have enough upper/lower body strength to crawl/roll into the seat, because the other person won't have enough strength/balance to assist you.
It SEEMS like a good idea, but I'm not sure how functional it really is.
Sue, There are several models. One was 23 lbs and had a built in handle. Tommy can lift that. I can too if he is on the floor. The other person positions it beside the fallen person. I can hoist myself onto a stool when I fall. Maybe the only way to determine that is to buy it and wait for a fall.
My siblings bought something like this for my parents. It is a heavy duty piece of equipment that cost several thousand dollars. I wonder how this one is so cheap. I wonder if it's stable? If you get one and it's useful, it will be a very useful investment
