Not this one. But, wore a cuter one during two hours of Boston Pops Extravaganza. Usually, we can see fireworks of some kind on the 4th, but not this time. Plus, my knee may be healing so I did not want to hurry to the door to open it and look for fireworks when we heard them.
I made baked beans for Tommy. He did not want to peel potatoes for potato salad yesterday and I was too annoyed to work that hard today. Read the article below. Now, I don't know how to tell the truth between a written article and AI. I had chicken and slaw, huge bowl of blueberries and strawberries. He had chicken, slaw, potatoes, carrots and baked beans.
What Really Happens When You Take Spiders Outside of Your Home : The Amazing Times
Does this amaze, puzzle, or annoy you?
What did you do on 4th? I will live vicariously.
That looks like a wolf spider. We had lots of them in CA when I lived there. An old German proverb states that spiders in the house bring good luck. Amazing, We lounged on the deck with ice cream and strawberries.
ReplyDeleteTewshooz,
DeleteI don't know spiders by name...lol. Tommy's house has few spiders, but it seems lucky. Maybe they are all hiding. Ice cream and strawberries sounds wonderful.
You do not want to live vicariously through me. TheHub and I have covid and spent the evening under blankets watching the Capitol Fourth coughing and sneezing our heads off.
ReplyDeleteAnne,
DeleteToo bad for you two. No, even though my knee still hurts, your ailment is worse. So sorry to hear that. I have been sneezing all day, but suspect allergies as I feel well otherwise. I hope you get better soon.
The article about spiders is mildly annoying. I always assume that horrible condescending style to be written by AI
ReplyDeleteI hope your knee continues to improve, the longer these things drag on, it just becomes another burden
kylie,
DeleteI never suspected. But, now I will try to watch articles.
It is only slightly better, still painful, but less painful.
Happy 4th to you Linda!
ReplyDeleteBelinda,
DeleteHappy 4th to you.
I got up and made deviled eggs, keto friendly brownies, and keto friendly cupcakes. Then we took the grands to hubby's sister's house along with about 35 - 40 relatives. It was HOT. Early afternoon we headed home to get in the pool. That didn't last super long, as it started thundering. We went over to the neighbors house for the kids to all play together and the drove the golf cart less than half a mile to town to watch fireworks. It was a lovely day.
ReplyDeleteAlice,
DeleteThat sounds like a wonderful and full day. I always tell Tommy I want a golf cart. That is a lot of relatives in one place.
Hubby was one of nine kids, so yes, there are a lot of relatives. We usually host Labor Day, and have had as many as 75. Some of my family will come, many from our church family will come. It's wonderful. And then I'm glad it's over. hehe
DeleteAlice,
DeleteNow that you mention it, I do think I remember your talking about all the people at your house. That is a lovely thought, but I can imagine the relief later as it is all over.
AI writing (what little I think I have read) reads stilted and lacks the nuance of a proper person
ReplyDeleteUrspo,
Deleteit is different, and I have not decided how. You are probably correct.
I have spiders both inside and outside. I'm not afraid of them but perhaps I should be. I had a spider bite in January that didn't heal until mid june. It was horrible and not easy to treat.
ReplyDeleteEBay has added an AI feature to their listing form. It gathers information from what you have written in the description details & title. I tried it a time or two and do not like it. It is entirely too flowery for me.
Janet,
DeleteThat is a spider you should search down, rout out and avoid.
I never knew that about eBay. Thanks. I will look for that.
