It is so nice when you like your child's partner. I have had some champs and some stinkers. But what can you do? If your child is happy that is the important thing. My granddaughter is with someone now who seems like a champ and I am so hopeful. Her previous one(the father of my great grandson) was as dumb as a stump. He was also content to let her work so he could stay home a nd play video games.
My ex sil worked hard and for the same company before, during, and after my daughter's marriage. This dil works! She is a school teacher, and English teacher like my son. She took off and stayed home until the younger of their two children started to school, kindergarten, I suppose. I cannot remember if it was pre-k or k. Ex sil seemed smart, but dil definitely is smart.
