Free Batteries (almost)

Best Deal Ever

When I was in Lowe's buying something else, I saw a display and rebate forms. It went something like "buy $10 or more Energizer batteries or flashlights and get a $10 Lowe's gift card." These AAA batteries will be  something like $0.07 each when I get my rebate. On the shelf, they are $10.97 for this pack of 16 AAA batteries.

I could have chosen any size just as long as I bought $10 worth. I may go back and buy a headlamp. Mine is MIA right now, so two will be good to own. You must have the receipt and follow the deadline to turn these in.. Plus, my receipt had the rebate form on the receipt. You do not have to have the rebate form from the pad in the store.

In passing I noticed that Ray-O-Vac has some sort of deal in Walmart. Check Walmart and Lowe's for this deal. Usually, Office Max/Depot has their own version for Energizer batteries. I will be checking all battery displays in stores that carry batteries.

You don't have to send in your receipt, just a copy. I will purchase each pack of batteries separately.  READ for yourself how to get the rebate. The offer is on batteries bought from 11-1-14 to 1-31-15. Last year, I bought enough for ten rebate cards in Walmart. I sent off four in my name, four in a friend's name and two for my daughter. Of course, my friend gave me four sent to him. I never heard from my daughter, but I suppose she got them and spent them, which was my intention.

Guess whose four grandchildren are getting batteries as part of their Christmas gifts from me. Plus, I am buying for a lonely senior in a nursing home, an Army vet, apparently abandoned by his family. I will give him a small flashlight as part of his gifts and give him a supply of batteries.

Your turn
Have you taken advantage of battery rebates?

  1. Brilliant. And we don't have battery rebates here - or I haven't seen them. Your gift for the vet is a wonderful idea.

  2. Vet? Vet? When did I mention a veterinarian? That is how tired I am. I thought the Army vet might like a little flashlight. Thanks.

  3. Linda - Wal-Mart has the buy 2 specially marked Energizer packs get a $10 E-gift card. So far I have purchased the battery packs I needed to in order to get the limit of 4 e-gift cards and have received 1 of the cards. Glad to hear about Lowes - the nearest one is 1 1/2 hours away but I have to go by it next month so will look into picking some up next month. Last year the gift cards I got paid for most of the canned cat food while I was off work after surgery so the gift cards do come in very handy.

    1. seyrey,
I am so glad your gift cards helped feed your cat. In WM I saw "buy four specially marked packages of batteries and get $12 back" for some brand of batteries. Forgot what. But, your deal is better. YAY FOR US!

  5. I see you've talked to the nursing home. What did they tell you, does this man know he's been "adopted", what are you planning to give him? I'm delivering my goodies tonight; I'll post about it soon.

  6. tlc,
The woman just would not take N O for an answer when she asked me to take a "little old man" instead of a woman. I sort of resent being forced to NOT turn him down. But, I am trying to work with it and it is costing me more money. I will post about mine, too.
