Tony's Porch

my friend Tony's house
around the block

Tony has exquisite taste! I will just let you enjoy the pictures. When he finishes painting his house, the porch floor will be painted.

His porch makes me want to go and buy shades of turquoise and orange. I commented on the pumpkins. They are not real. However, he did buy them on sale and uses them each year. I love driving by his house.

Your turn
Have you ever decorated with these colors? How these colors suit you? Do you like to decorate your porch? What colors do you use on your porch? Is anyone going to pin this?

  1. What a fun place to hang out. Love it.
Our porch is decorated only with plants.

  2. EC,
Plants are good, too. Excellent. I doubt he has time to take care of plants. I bet yours is pretty with lots of tropical plants.

    1. Michelle,
On a small porch there is little chance of much decorating. Thanks for coming by.

  4. The porch is beautiful, but I could never use Turquoise and orange. it would be too close to having a War Eagle theme.

    1. Anne,
You know, I thought it looked like Warrrr Eagle! See, that would suit me.

  5. Tony's home is beautiful. He does have excellent taste.
More importantly, can you borrow his bathroom to get cleaned up during your water disaster? Can he help fill and bring over some water containers for you to use at home?

  6. I am welcome to use his faucet to fill jugs. But, I cannot bend that low and carry gallon jugs. He works two jobs, takes care of his ailing father and is not home much. When he is home, he has a group of people worshipping there. So, he gets in at 11 several days a week. Now that the push is on for holiday decorating, he will never be home. He often spends every night away from home. So, I cannot depend on him at all. He already takes my garbage out every week unless he is not home. This would be like having him adopt me to depend on anything more. You CAN ride a good horse to death.

    1. Tony had a florist shop once. He now works retail, not because he cannot make it in the florist industry. He spends from now to New year's Eve decorating for holidays. He will decorate just the tree or just the mantle or the whole house and outside. He is very much in demand. His part-time job is weddings. He also helps someone else with weddings. He often travels to Birmingham and once to Louisiana to decorate. He is in demand and paid well. Last year, he was absent lots. This spring, his diabetic father had his arm amputated and is facing maybe the same thing this year, so he is much involved in his care.

Okay, hoping the annoyances have gone away.
