REAL Black Friday Deals

Last Black Friday, I really needed milk or something. However, I waited until about 6:30 pm to venture out t0 Walmart. Maybe it was later. At any rate, I found a handicap parking space and a charged electric cart. Of course, I strolled/rolled about seeing what was reduced for that day.

One clerk told me there were people fighting over the cheap towels. A real fight broke out. I was watching the Macy's Christmas Parade when all this occurred. Oh, yeah that was T Day, but we still had sales early.

Now, I did remember that the year before on the Saturday after Black Friday I found dvds for $1.99. I was able to find the whole Little House on the Prairie set, one at a time with the help of others. I forgot what series I found this last year. I did find a cd with John

I managed to go when there was no struggle for resources I needed. I would suggest that. Plus, on Monday, I think, the whole display was gone. Don't delay.

One year, the display was set up in the main aisle near toys. Last year, the display was smack dab in the middle of the produce section. So, you may have to search or ask for the over 15 feet long display.

Your turn
Do you go out on Black Friday? Do you like cds? Series on cd? Might you be tempted to get out to Walmart for this one deal

    1. Michelle,
I should have said the crowds are gone by the time I go there. As a matter of fact, the traffic in the store is even less than a normal Friday night. The electric carts are even recharged.

  2. I've not gone out on a Black Friday in probable 20 years, for the past 10 years or so I've not gone out on that Saturday, last year I added Sunday and Thanksgiving. Pretty soon I won't be going out from Nov 15 till Jan 15.

CDs I don't buy. I've found enough free TV channels on a variety of networks and using the library to have enough to watch for the rest of my life.

When I did not have tv at all, I watched everything the library had that I would watch. This library is limited. I am amused that you keep stretching out the no-go-out days. The cds helped me...lol.

  3. My sister and I used to go out and scored some serious deals, but now with the ease of online shopping and free shipping I get virtually the same deals on Cyber Monday, waste no gas or time plus I get to sleep late on Friday

    1. Anne,
I never went out for Black Friday deals, but now that WM will match online deals, there is certainly no reason to get out now. There are still enough people foolish enough or young enough or just enjoy the thrill of the chase. I don't count going out very late in the day as chasing deals. Sleeping late is the main draw for me.

  4. I used to go out for cheap toys. Even went out into that mess while pregnant. Not anymore, I'm too old or maybe its lazy. Plus the only kids I really buy for are my 2 nephews. Oh someone got shot here, I think it was two years ago black Friday, that is the other reason I don't go out.

    1. Sonya Ann,
I think "too old" AND wiser are reasons that rule my life these days. OMG, if someone were shot here, that would definitely keep me home.

Okay, hoping the annoyances have gone away.
