Free Sweet Potatoes and Scarf
I was all set to buy two 40-lb boxes of sweet potatoes for $10 each. Today, I was given a box of almost 50 lbs of sweet potatoes. I shared a few with two people. They are seconds, so I will have to do lots of trimming after washing and before baking. I will still buy firsts but only one box since I got these.
Last Friday, I was given a cranberry-colored scarf, hand knitted or crocheted. In this weather it is almost too warm, but the temperature will drop!
It is supposed to be below freezing here tonight. How low is the temperature going at your house tonight?
Your turn
How was your Saturday? Busy? Cold? Crazy?

It's 65 here in CA at 530
ReplyDeleteKristine,
DeleteI think it was about 61 around that time, and I was freezing. Of course, it is getting much colder tonight and eventually below freezing in a few days. I still don't have heat....brrr.
It was 19 fahrenhuit yesterday morning but warmed up to 40 something with the bright sun. Snow circled my part of MN but we had another perfect but chilly fall day.
ReplyDeleteSAM,
DeleteThere is nothing like a cold day with bright sun. I could probably still wear sandals up there. I have not put them away yet. I suppose you will get snow soon enough. Thanks for that.
That's a fantastic gift! My sweets didn't do so well this year and I know I'll miss them.

DeleteThat's too bad. If you could find a farmer, maybe you could get cheap ones. I know it is not the same. What variety do you rause?
