More Car Trouble

I drove 50 miles on Saturday without a problem. Today, I drove less than 6 miles and had steam when I turned off the car in my driveway. Since I need the car to go to the hospital for the colonoscopy and will not be allowed to drive tomorrow, I just hope it lasts until Thursday. This is a $173 repair. I don't have that kind of money! They are going to look at something else and to see something about the block cracking. I am still in the middle of colonoscopy prep, so I am more muddled on car things than usual...lol. Over at slugmama's all the bloggers are having car trouble, so I suppose I caught the bug.

  1. It's good that you are preparing for the colonoscopy now. I will come in handy when they start working on the car. Bills up the... well, you know. I need to have another one, too. It's been over five years now and I am due. Good luck with both procedures, butt and car.

    1. Coffeypot,
Ugh, funny guy...lol. I am an hour from going to the hospital. But, you know I won't have the procedure for another hour and a half after I get there.

  2. Aw Linda, I'm sorry you have this stress! There's a few simple things that could be causing your car to be hot, especially a stuck thermostat. Inexpensive but sometimes a PITA to change, depending on location. Thermostats stick open, causing the vehicle to not reach operating temperature and they stick closed, causing the engine to get hot and then the steam rolls.

Hope your procedure goes smoothly, hugs!

    1. Kat,
I cannot get on your blog. For almost a week I get error 404 or something like that. Why.

This one is getting stuck intermittently. If you do the work yourself, maybe not expensive. But, not having the skills or strength is a problem. They named the things they have to remove from mine, said it was behind the manifold. I will go to Auto Zone and ask them to show me the thermostat and ask about the manifold. I trust these guys, but I must verify. I am not completely dumb or stupid.

    2. KAT, Why can I not get on your blog. Are other people getting this 404 error?

  3. Poor you. I do hope you get to the bottom (sorry) of both problems soon.
I have been getting the 404 error on a few blogs this morning. Not on Kat's though. Intermittent faults (in anything) are sooooo frustrating.

Okay, hoping the annoyances have gone away.
