A Surprise in the Mail

For me?

TLC at Making Cents of it All emailed me and said she had something I might like, asking me to send my address. I honestly thought I was getting coupons, pamphlet on chickens, a recipe card. Well, was I ever surprised. She sent me a gift card for Panera Bread. How nice!

Thanks, TLC. I should be going back to Huntsville soon and will certainly enjoy my Panera visit.

Happy Dance!

Your turn

  1. Bread is one of my weaknesses. I enjoy most all breads and my body turns them into fat within moments of eating.

Still, I'll enjoy a good bread, now and then. To me, it's more of a treat than the best of chocolates, cakes, pies or other rich dessert.

    1. I would rather have a yeast roll than dessert of any kind even chocolate. Yum, bread is good.

  3. I love Panera. When it's chilly, I want their chicken noodle soup with honey wheat bread. When it's hot, I want the strawberry chicken poppy seed salad.

    Love,
    Janie

    1. Janie,
Strawberry chicken poppy seed salad? Got it. That does sound tempting. I would never have thought to put strawberry in chicken salad.

  4. What a lovely gesture. We don't have Panera here - but I am looking forward to hearing about your treat.

    1. Lena,
It certainly was a pleasant surprise, especially since I was expecting something more mundane. Panera, here I come.

  6. I'm so glad you liked it! I look forward to hearing your thoughts after you visit :) Like I mentioned in my blog, these are my favs: for lunch/dinner I like chicken noodle soup with bread for dipping, bacon turkey bravo sandwich, grilled cheese, baked potato soup, or the tortellini dish. For dessert I love the chocolate brownie (I warm it up in the microwave they have by the coffee). But of course my absolute favorite is the four cheese souffle for breakfast!

    1. TLC,
Thanks again. I will take note of all of these. The warmed brownie is making me drool.
