Not So Much

I feel so much worse and am on another round of antibiotics. A nurse seems to be in control.  I called for an appointment but must go through her. No one wants to listen to me! I refuse to die because she is in control of his time. I love nurse practitioners, but this is wearing thin. I would be in the hospital if not for my walk-in doctor. Going on three months now--I believe I have a persistent uti. It won't clear up with a week of medicine and three days off meds, then on again.

  1. Sorry you are feeling bad again. Are you seeing a urologist? (Or if you are seeing one, going to a different one?)

  2. Anne,
I am seeing his nurse practitioner and going to family doctor at walk-in on Friday. However, I will be using a new urologist after this.

    1. Anne,
Thanks for asking. I did not mean to post the comment. I will also find someone else for the tibial nerve stimulation, too!

  4. I was going to suggest a kidney specialist- nephrologist? I hope you find out what's going on. Could it be related to your allergies and do you keep a food diary?

  5. NAN,
That was what I was going to suggest to urologist--send me to nephrologist. Actually, I can go on my own but will get in more quickly if he refers me and makes the appointment. I doubt it is related to my allergies. Bacteria in my urine os bacteria needs antibiotic. No, I don't keep a food diary. I don't need to. When I eliminated all I was allergic to, I found out when I added things back exactly what was causing a problem. The reaction was immediate, nothing cumulative. Thanks for the suggestion.

  6. I'm sorry you are feeling ill again. Have they cultured your urine to see what is causing the infection?

    1. Michelle,
Yes, I drove to the doctor's office and got it. It appeared there was nothing amiss according to the results of the culture. So, I drove to my pharmacist since doctor was not in. Pharmacist studied it with a puzzled look on his face and said this says there is nothing wrong with you. However, before blood was drawn, the nurse said there was something in urine--leukocytes or something. Tomorrow, I am going to see the doctor. grrr

Okay, hoping the annoyances have gone away.
