Tom, The rugs and raccoon would definitely go. Rugs and I don't get along and never have. I only want a tub, the claw foot one I have. I don't like all the outside doors or rough surfaces to snag my clothing in the kitchen. I do like the feel of the place, the eclectic-ness.
It's beautiful! As much as I love to look at a house like this, I always choose brighter colours and cleaner lines when choosing my own things. I cant choose any other way, even when i try
kylie, Yes, I would choose brighter colors. I love the house but might go nuts with all the rough looking wood, so I would probably never ever choose things like this. But, it is intriguing!
I like parts of it and other rooms not so much. I love love love the screened porch.
ReplyDeleteAnne,
DeleteSame here!
I agree with Anne the screened porch is absolutely something I want. And the covered bridge.
ReplyDeleteBut - a taxidermy raccoon, a step-in tub, too many rugs to trip on, too much to dust, too many doors to the outside like in the BR.
I look for home ideas that I can use now in my old(er) age - like you I'm 70 - and I really lean toward minimalism.

Hi Linda... beautiful house but not for me. I look at things to dust too. And I am trying to simplify. But someone did a lot of work.
ReplyDeletecarol,
ReplyDeleteThe only things I see as dust catchers are the areas of rough wood. The rest I love.
