Slandering Me Needs to Stop

Sissy is sending emails to people and posting comments saying I am a leach, wealthy, and stashing the money I got from gofundme. She says she actually knows me.

None of this is true. And, we have never met. Her emails to me have expressed jealousy.

Two bloggers have actually met me at my house. If you would, you two can comment as to whether I have money.

I hate to bring drama to my blog. I will stop this lying the hard way if I must.

I did pay a plumber to replace the water line to the road!

What would you do? You can just email me if you do not want to comment here.

  1. Join the club, Linda. There are people on the internet whose only goal in life is trashing others. If they have internet friends, it's based on THEIR lies and they honestly believe everyone else does the same as they do.

    1. Dana,
Such blatant lies by me would be cause to have me sent to therapy. I would have to be a little crazy which I think she is.

Thanks, but it has upset me. But, these messages from followers are calming.

  3. Good grief! What is wrong with people who must lie about others. I'm sorry she is doing this to you and hope that you can get it stopped.
Having read your blog from the beginning (I went back to the archives) I would not, could not, believe that you are any of the things this person says. It will come back to bite her.

    1. Bellen,
Yes, if people read the whole blog, they would realize I am different person than the one she portrays.

  4. Sigh. I assume it was her who popped up on my blog and left a comment (which I deleted) to that effect.
I hope that karma bites her butt (and that the bite becomes infected).

    1. EC, Hopefully, others will not believe her. I am sure she was anonymous.

  5. There's a man who likes to write on his own blog about what an idiot I am. He's got some issues, that's for sure. There are more people out there with issues than there are tissues in the Kleenex factory. Don't let them get to you.

    1. 444,
At least he owns up to what he says! I have never thought you were an idiot. Geee! I love the Kleenex remark.

    2. He doesn't own up to it. He just says "a person" and he even characterized me as male, because he didn't read my blog carefully enough to know I'm not male. But he did read my blog and comment, and his posts were obviously about me.

  6. As hard as it would be, I would probably mainly ignore her. I have not seen any of her vitriol so I am basing this on supposition, but do you think many people put any faith in what she says/writes? Gnats and other pests go away eventually.

    1. Anne,
Well, an attorney knows he can stop her. Even if she stops, I have copied enough of her remarks on other sites to stop her.

    2. Is it worth the atty fees? I have seen very few people who pay attention to Trolls. To me they only get power if they get a reaction.

    3. Anne,
I wanted to expose her since she hid behind anonymous.

  7. you are giving her power by discussing her at all..as my 2 1/2 year old great granddaughter would say..'shake it off'....ignore her..we will all delete her comments and pay her no mind.

She was hiding. I just want her to be exposed. I am not guessing because I have the email she quotes.

  8. There are lots of crazies in the world and the anonymity of the web seems to amplify that. Sorry you experienced it. I'd ignore her too...

  10. This planet is home to millions of crack-pots, fruit-cakes and nutters. Such morons are often unavoidable on the internet and bumping into one of these weirdo trolls can be very upsetting.

Don't let the bastard grind you down; they are saddoes who are sick and sickening.

    1. PhilipH,
Thanks. She is not the first to target me. She is the first anonymous that I knew, so I just wanted to expose her. She thinks she can hide, but is not smart enough to do so. You are right when you say "sad" and "sick." Thanks.

  11. Ignore it. It's hard, but effective. Trust me - I've had to do the same thing. Don't give it a moment's notice. The internet is a big place and idiots get swallowed up without something to hold on to their attention.

Now that I have outed her and gotten supportive emails, it is easier to ignore. Thanks.

  12. Let me join the others in saying how sorry I am you're going through this. I can empathize because I've started getting snarky reviews for my book on Amazon. Anyone who has actually read the book knows the comments are downright lies, but they still drag the rating down because once up, they stay there.

Is this person leaving comments someplace where others can point out she's is a liar? It's unfortunate that there are people like this out there. Actually, there are a whole lot of nasty, mean-spirited folks who ought to get a real life. Hang in there!

    1. So far, I think people are just deleting her comments about me on others' blogs. I don't know what some folks do where I don't know about. I am pasting the ones I find in a document.

That is a shame about the bad reviews. It is someone you know who is jealous of your success.

      Thanks for the comment!

  13. I'm sorry about this but it happens. I get quite a bit of snark from time to time. I delete it. Its the only thing that you can do. Chin up.

  14. I would ignore it beyond what you've already done in this post because there's no way you can combat it, and it's not in your interest to focus attention upon it.

    "I... am wealthy,"

Oh, joy, I need money, lots and lots of money. Please wire immediately.

I can and will combat this if it continues. You are at the top of the list when I decide to divest myself of my fortune.

I don't know what you can do, really. I think the important thing is to not voice your objections so loudly and so persistently as to make yourself look bad. In other words, I believe that dignity and restraint work better than any appearance of tit for tat.

    3. P.S. I should say that I'm not taking sides here because I haven't a clue what is going on between you Sissy. Rather, I'm speaking in general terms.

  15. The internet can be a cruel place. People are so much braver behind a screen. I imagine this person would be a coward if you met face-to-face.

Do you have any clues as to who it might be? What makes you think they're jealous (other than the slandering)?

    1. tlc,
I know who it is because she quotes part of an email exchange between us. I know it is Sissy. In several emails she wrote me, she was expressing jealousy. I still have all these emails. I said all this in the post.

    1. I did not mean to remove your comment. Sissy is the owner of the blog, Musings by the Creek which just today went from open to invited guests only. I suppose she wants to talk about me where I cannot see it. That's okay with me. Let her hole up with her meanness, marinate herself in her vitriol.

Okay, hoping the annoyances have gone away.
