Lens Found

Last night, just before I went to bed, I searched for the remote that had slipped off the ottoman. Finally, after stretching to reach it and not finding it, I looked down and there was the lens, barely showing from under my chair. Ha! I never made it out of my chair before it fell out after I stepped on it the first time. The round frame that holds it is sooo bent in sooo many directions. The lens will not stay in at all.

When I read or type, my head has to be cocked at an odd angle to be able to focus on print. I hope I don't freeze this way. I can drive just fine.

The free DQ cone was quite refreshing.

The two girls left me two eggs.

It is 80 degrees F and lovely. The daffodils are all blooming around my yard. The ones caught under the snow and then the ice still look fresh.

Your turn
How is the weather at your place?

  1. So glad you found your lens, now to get the frames fixed so it will stay in. I'm virtually blind without my glasses, have to keep the old prescription glasses just in case & they give me a headache if I have to wear them more than an hour.

Weather here has been above normal, mid 80s, sunny with a nice breeze but no rain. Do wish we could have daffodils, it doesn't get cold enough in the winter for them. Same for tulips and forsythia which I also miss.

    Hope you're feeling better.

    1. Bellen,
I have a plan but no backups. These frames are from 1998. I would miss all the flowers too.

  2. Yay for finding your lens. Can you get them fixed? Will finances stretch that far? I hope so.

  3. If you can research the name and number of your glasses you may be able to order new frames and have your lenses re-set. I could not do anything without my glasses! Actually if you only use yours for reading and computer you may be able to find over the counter "cheaters" that will suffice.

    1. Janet,
Knowing I was leaving opthomalogist for good, I got the frame name, and size...ha ha ha. I must have them for everything but driving. So, cooking is impossible, even looking for change in my purse, so they stay on all day. Those glasses hurt my eyes and do not fix one problem.

  4. You are not so lucky about the frames but blessed with good weather, at least.

  5. Weather was great yesterday.. mid 80s! Down to the 50s today *sigh*

I wouldn't be able to do much of anything without my glasses. Is this program of any help? I don't know: http://www.new-eyes.org/us-voucher-program/

    1. Cherdo,
Yes, everything seems so survivable in the sun. The hens are enjoying it.

Okay, hoping the annoyances have gone away.
