Yucky Me; Wet Saturday; Christmas 2015

First of all, I dreamed and found another egg. Since I finished off the eggs I bought at the store, free range eggs, I have 14 homegrown eggs awaiting me.

For the last week or so, I have been sort of ill. But it is a strange sort of ill. I have had symptoms last for hours or a day and then subside completely only to replaced by another symptom. Every day, I have slept more hours and more often. It is the strangest "ill" I have ever been. However, sleeping too much is the first sign I am becoming ill and will end up in the Urgent Care needing shots and multiple meds plus otc meds I am already taking.

It has rained for the last 24 hours, and tornado warnings added to the yucky conditions. The lack of sun is depressing. Since it was near 65 degrees today, I knew there would by tornado warnings, watches, and touchdowns. I have been home and mostly sleeping not because I want to avoid tornadoes. I just don't want to go anywhere.

This week, I received two emails from Energizer with instructions to print the emails and use them like cash at Walmart. So, that is $20 toward Christmas 2015.

  1. You are more than welcome to send some of that rain our way. We have thunder rumblings, but not a drop of the much needed wet stuff.
I hope you get better soon, and can avoid Urgent Care.

    1. EC,
One of the rumblings really frightened me tonight. I was on the phone and the person was concerned with my yelping. There were gentle rumblings for hours, then this big one that went on and on got to me. I am feeling better once again, but this is how it has been happening. Thanks.

  2. This is a miserable rain. On the way back from New Orleans we noticed all the lakes and rivers were very high and just about every creek was out of its bank and flooding all the lowlands. I guess with the ground being so sodden some big Oaks will start uprooting. Hope not but I've seen it happen before after this much hard rain.

    1. I noticed it was worse your way at first, then it slid right up here to my area. Thankfully, I live on a plateau, even there are places that flood up here. I have some of those big oaks and a huge walnut tree. It has started leaning toward my neighbor's house. And, the roots on this side are coming out of the ground. When I step over there, my shoes is engulfed in mud between the roots. She is the one who hates my chicken noise when they are afraid. I can imagine what she would do if the oak or walnut tree fell on her house.

Let's hope we dry out before the freeze next week.

  3. Miserable definitely. Now today we are sunny and clear but COLD and WINDY which almost makes it just a bad as the rain. Can't do much outside anyway and have to stay in where it's warm.

    1. The wind has picked up here, too. It is 45 degrees F at 3 pm and going much lower tonight and this week. I am trying to get sick, so inside is where I am, too. At least there were no tornadoes around here.

  4. We've had yucky drizzly rain, too. During church, the sky just exploded with rain and I thought we'd drown on the way to the car. Then, it stopped at the end of the service. Thanks, Big Man!

Okay, hoping the annoyances have gone away.
