Catnip Times Petting Chart

Petting a cat vs. petting a dog...Catnip Times

  1. Depends on the cat. Both of ours LOVE having their bellies rubbed. Rubbing Jazz's belly is a bit like Russion roulette though. He purrs loudly and sometimes also launches into attack mode.

    1. EC,
I never pet cats because of allergies, but stomach rubbing seems to have been time for attack in most cats I knew. I did keep a cat in my bedroom.

  2. Funny, but thank god that Brewsky isn't that way except that for some strange reason, he hates butt-crack massages, but, come to think of it, all my dogs did too.

    1. Snow,
Just curious, did you enjoy giving your dogs butt-crack massages? Ick!

Surely you don't mean to imply that there might be something NOT to love. Granted, it took up a lot of time, and of course the dogs had to be held down, but I got to where I could do most of the job with one hand, and this enabled me to do it everyday while I had breakfast.

    3. Oih, Snow,
lolol, I have been laughing and crying and wiping tears. I wondered what you would come back with. Yuck, at breakfast! This is one Mississippi habit I never heard of. I do love a man with a sense of humor.

Hey, did you see the post about flour sack sheets?

    4. In my memory, flour sacks were usually made into shirts, blouses, and aprons, and I loved finding dishes in cereal boxes (I still have a little green glass, and also a glass that my Granny’s snuff came in). Are you a few years younger than I, by the way (you look younger). I’ll be 66 on March 1.

    1. Sonya Ann,
Thank you. Dogs do seem happy compared to cats.
