Depends on the cat. Both of ours LOVE having their bellies rubbed. Rubbing Jazz's belly is a bit like Russion roulette though. He purrs loudly and sometimes also launches into attack mode.
Funny, but thank god that Brewsky isn't that way except that for some strange reason, he hates butt-crack massages, but, come to think of it, all my dogs did too.
"did you enjoy giving your dogs butt-crack massages?"
Surely you don't mean to imply that there might be something NOT to love. Granted, it took up a lot of time, and of course the dogs had to be held down, but I got to where I could do most of the job with one hand, and this enabled me to do it everyday while I had breakfast.
Oih, Snow, lolol, I have been laughing and crying and wiping tears. I wondered what you would come back with. Yuck, at breakfast! This is one Mississippi habit I never heard of. I do love a man with a sense of humor.
Hey, did you see the post about flour sack sheets?
In my memory, flour sacks were usually made into shirts, blouses, and aprons, and I loved finding dishes in cereal boxes (I still have a little green glass, and also a glass that my Granny’s snuff came in). Are you a few years younger than I, by the way (you look younger). I’ll be 66 on March 1.
I love this! I really love our cats and am glad that we saved them but I miss my dogs. They were so loving and happy. Have a great day and I wish you a blessed 2015!

ReplyDeleteEC,
DeleteI never pet cats because of allergies, but stomach rubbing seems to have been time for attack in most cats I knew. I did keep a cat in my bedroom.

ReplyDeleteSnow,
DeleteJust curious, did you enjoy giving your dogs butt-crack massages? Ick!

Sonya Ann,
DeleteThank you. Dogs do seem happy compared to cats.
