National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day, Cheap Decorating, Affectionate Laundry

$89 antique table, $1 bunny, $3 tea cup and saucer, 25 cent dish

I must examine that table and see if it is really dusty around the edges. If so, that comes from not being able to attend to it.  The table was a steal 20 years ago. I love how there is a flower inside the cup.  This is me, cheap and tasteful...lol, at least it is cheap and pleases me. There were two pictures on the table that I removed for this shot. It looks rather unbalanced! The fringe is from a floor lamp next to the table.

On to the topic at hand--do you like pbj sandwiches? I would celebrate if I had any jelly. National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day was yesterday, but it's not too late to celebrate. Ooooh, I just remembered I have jelly!

Do you really know what your laundry does when you are not around? It was a windy day, so they mixed it up.

Your turn

Are you decorating at all for Easter, even just a bit? How do you eat your peanut butter jelly sandwich? What is your laundry doing when you are gone?

  1. Peanut butter and strawberry rhubarb jam!! Yummm!

My laundry certainly isn't folding itself when I'm not around. I hate folding laundry!

    1. Beth,
I love rhubarb and I love strawberry, but I have never had them together.

Actually, I do like folding clothes. I suppose that means I am sick, sick, sick.

  2. Adorable bunny and other pretty things...I love that doily! Toasted pumpernickel p&j is my favorite or switching out the jelly for honey and then there is the Elvis....it's all good:)

    1. I have never had pumpernickel with pbj sandwich. Ha, I do use honey quite often when I use pb.

Yes, Elvis and I both lived in Memphis. Actually, I lived about a mile from his house. My pbj tastes were a little more tame than his.

  3. I replaced the word 'cheap' with 'frugal' a few years ago. No big difference really, but it makes me feel better about being broke! lol

Being allergic to wheat, I haven't had a pbj for a few years. My husband on the other hand has eaten them daily in his work lunch for about 20 years!!

  4. I don't want to know what my laundry gets up to when I'm not around, lol. I love the table; old things can be so pretty.

  5. Sue,
Broke is okay! Frugal or cheap, not spending an exorbitant amount of money is the point. Of course, these days "exorbitant" is a different point than in days past.

That is great your husband is so easily pleased. PB&J is a filling and healthy choice when compared to some lunch sandwiches. Sorry about your allergies.

    Pamela,
I just happened to catch the two. Thanks, I love that little table. It actually has some pretty cut-outs on the little apron.

Okay, hoping the annoyances have gone away.
