Yawning and yawning is all I have done tonight. I almost got enough sleep last night. I have not taken a nap. I was going to take a nap at 4 pm, but gerd attacked and I have had to sit up. I ate a tiny doughnut and this is what I get.
I don't feel like doing steps right now, but I will record some steps for this day later.
Tommy is heating up bbq and baked beans, He is having applesauce, too. I will have tuna salad on a bed of Romaine. That should not upset my stomach. I was mistaken. The tuna salad and Romaine choked me. I had to quit eating.
I think it was 74F degrees today. The ac is on. I'm in heaven.

Yep. He is selling out our country. Then there is his mandatory registry of migrants. Sounds like Schindler’s list. I can’t help but wonder what Putin has on him.
ReplyDeleteAnd the “No” vote condemning Russia for invading Ukraine??? We’re in the company of Iran, North Korea and Hungrary. We have lost any pretense of being a moral leader on the geopolitical stage.
Trump keeps insisting Ukraine started the war! We are definitely losing ground on morality. Trump still thinks he is so personable yet intimidating that he can rule as our king and everyone will follow him. He is in awe of the WWII leaders.

DeleteI read it LONG ago, probably in 7th grade or so. I know it’s not new. It was sort of a take on a meme..(”first they came for the [insert marginalized group] and I spoke out because I read the poem and know how the story ends.” ) It was an attempt at humor in an otherwise troubling situation.
DeleteHere’s the thing: The GOP has the house and senate. One would think Felon 47 could get the things he wanted to passed legally. The problem is he knows these things are unpopular. Moreover, it is the red states who are the recipients of these programs being slashed, and the legislators know that. There’s no way they could face their voters by doing this. So he is attempting to circumvent the process and have Musk do the dirty work. Move fast and break things. And he is putting the control of government into the hands of a small clique of ultra wealthy while claiming conservative, traditional values, just like Orban did in Hungary, There is money to be made in destroying a democracy.
All I can hope is that there are still GOP legislators and judges who remember that their oath is to the constitution, not an individual. I don’t have much faith in, because when you start firing JAG officers, it’s clear you intend to do unlawful things.
