Get Paid to Drive Your Car

AdverCar may be a good idea, maybe not. I doubt that my 2000 Malibu that sits outdoors, has a few dings, and is rarely clean would qualify. I could wash it more often, but the elements and birds take their toll, long term and short term.

  1. Sounds like quite a good idea - so long as you get input into what you are advertising. Mind you the car is a) usually dirty, and b) my partner's pride and joy. I don't think he would play.

    1. EC,
I wonder if a person has input or power of veto...lol.

I wonder if it would ruin the car. Mine could only be improved by covering it with ads.

  2. It's probably a good idea, until somebody gets drunk and slams into a school bus, while driving a van with an advertisement for a local restaurant.

  3. My main car is like your's, a 2000 model and parked outside. If it were available to me I would do it as long as it came with weekly car washes. I wonder if it is available for vintage autos. My other car is a 1962 VW and I think it would draw a lot of views if wrapped in advertising !!!

    1. Janet,
Why don't you try it on the VW? I think it would draw attention, too. A 2000 kept in a garage might work, but not yours and mine.

  4. I followed a bob-tail panel van the other day, with side panels that caught my attention. My curiosity finally led me to accelerating and pulling alongside.

Both side panels were filled with tiny L.E.D. lights and showing different advertisement, including short videos.

I was impressed. I've only seen it once, but I have the feeling I'll see it more.

    1. Jess,
Videos? It seems that would be distracting and maybe dangerous. I have not seen any of the ads or videos. So, this is the future? lol Thanks for the observation.

  5. Interesting concept, but I'd be leery of what I was advertising, i.e. I have no interest in advertising McDonald's even if I got paid $100/month.

P.S. I blogged today, not sure if it's showing up as current on your blogroll.

    1. Making it,
I am not sure how much control a person has. That would be a possible problem.

Of course, my blogger shows you b logged six days ago! However, I do check every day.

Okay, hoping the annoyances have gone away.
