And, We Have a Winner of the Doll Clothes!

Before I announce the giveaway winner, let me show you what I added--a sweatband I made for the Cabbage Patch.

  3. Was it the Cabbage Dolls that people used to "adopt" and hire sitters for? I went to their "adoption agency" once and was amazed at how straight-faced they all were. I think it was in Georgia.

    1. Snowbrush,
You went to Babyland General in Cleveland, Georgia where Cabbage Patch Babies are born:

      http://www.babylandgeneral.com/

I took my girls there with their CP. I would have been very upset it the people there had not been straight-faced. Everyone who worked there and all us visitors took it seriously. Along the front porch the length of the building were rockers. I figured those were for the less devoted so they would not spoil the atmosphere or want to leave.

The cabbages were swelling in the cabbage patch with the cabbages swelling in different stages of pushing up through the "soil." A great to-do was made of each birth.

Doctors were summoned often; nurses bustled about. It was just wonderful.

  5. That's cute! I have an elderly friend who has a collection of cabbage patch dolls and last year I made flannel diapers for some of her babies.
BTW, that's a headgear, not a retainer. Used to move the teeth with braces. A retainer holds them in place after the braces are off.

That is what it was called in the catalog. I know nothing...lol. Thanks.

  6. Well, I had braces for half my childhood and a degree in dental hygiene. Looks like headgear to me 😃

Okay, hoping the annoyances have gone away.
