First things doctor said to me after surgery.
Wednesday afternoon, I became ill, knew I was going to die and went to ER in ambulance. I was sweating profusely, gasping for breath, could barely stand. I went in ambulance alone. NO, it was Thursday.
Thursday, I was examined and had blood clots in my lungs, profuse amount. Thursday, had surgery and doctor made those two statements. I have lots of different meds, many instructions, precautions. Doctors were thorough, helped me lots. And, I get to live another day. Came home today, Saturday, in a Lyft. My first Lyft driver was from Senegal. Today's driver was from Israel. Nice guys. Tommy road in cab twice. Weather, roads, crazy driver caused me to request this. Finally, today I had him search my purse contents for a tip that was not a twenty.
Can you imagine all this? It is hard to write. I will do it little by little.
Linda, please let someone know how to get into your blogspot account so that they can let us know if something horrible does happen to you, and you cannot write anymore.
ReplyDeleteToo many of us will worry about you.
The long times that you have 'gone silent' in the past always make me concerned. You could certainly write us a last message -- and just hold it until (god forbid) you shuffle off the mortal coil.
I've been an online friend since... the frugal message boards on Yahoo....where we bonded in our dislike of some woman who we found annoying. Maybe since 2001? Celebrated when you paid off your house, and lamented when your water had an issue.
It has been a moment, hasn't it?
meetsy,
DeleteOh, yes, a long time and many watershed events. I told Tommy how to get in, but doubt he would remember. Thanks for your concern. I came close this time. I will write it down for him.
Wow! That's scary. I'm glad you are still with us
ReplyDeleteGoodness, rest and take care.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that you are on the mend. Take it easy and follow the doctors orders.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I have been worrying about you and your health. That's a lot to deal with for both you and Tommy. Prayers for a speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteEe gads!
ReplyDeleteHere’s to getting better. Please, take care of yourself, and follow doctor’s orders. My thoughts are with you.
Scary, scary events! I'm so glad you're still with us! Rest well and get back to us when you're feeling better.
ReplyDelete(((((Linda))))) I'm so glad they were able to save your life! You take good care of yourself now! Do they know what caused the blood clots?
ReplyDeletebelinda and all, feel worse will answer all later. Sorry.
DeleteI said wrong. I went to hospital on Thursday.
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself. Make sure your children are reachable and hopefully can get to you if any further treatments are needed quickly. You need someone to advocate for you when you can't.
ReplyDeletesam thanks
DeleteI am glad that you went ahead with the procedure. Blood clots are a very serious thing. Did the Dr. think it was caused by your fall?
ReplyDeleteJanet,
DeleteTommy did not think twice when I asked him. doctor and I discussed that. It is possible, but not certain. I think that is what he said.
