Tonight, I am watching Ice Road Truckers or something like that. I never knew truckers drove over a frozen lake with ice only three feet deep. Talk of the ice cracking and a truck falling in make me nervous for them.
There is another show I want to see, Dog, the Bounty Hunter, both only once.
Tommy boiled four eggs for me. Two will probably go into tuna salad. I bought celery, so I will have some in the tuna salad.
When I first married, I made tuna salad with lots of ingredients. We both had two sandwiches from one bowl of tuna salad. They were not skimpy sandwiches, either.
Ice Road Truckers is off. It is just okay. I will never watch that again.
I am really ill. I think I know what is wrong, with two or three backup things going wrong. So, no pedaling. I can barely move right now. I never, ever go to bed without brushing my teeth. Sunday night, I just staggered off to bed with no thought of my teeth. UGH, cannot do that again.
Today was a pretty, warm day.
Dinner: we both had the meal we cooked last night--baked chicken, potato, carrots and slaw. This was a meal that came out of the oven after we had eaten. Delicious. I had very little. Later, I had a small bowl of strawberries and blueberries.
Have you ever seen Ice Road Truckers or Dog, the Bounty Hunter? Do you like them?
Watched both shows many years ago - wasn't impressed. Feel better.
ReplyDeleteCheryl,
DeleteI am not impressed so far. Thanks.
I have seen a couple episodes of each. Not really my kind of shows lol. I watch a lot of shows on the True Crime channel, and shows on MeTv

ReplyDeleteWe watched some of both those shows years ago. I've never been a big fan of reality shows. Dh used to really like watching Deadliest Catch but after a few episodes (and seasons!) I said it's the same thing - throw the pots out into the ocean, bring them back in LOL. Hope you are able to figure out why you've been feeling so poorly, lately.
I despise reality television. ‘Nuff said.
ReplyDeleteGrowing up in New England, I can tell you that trucks did drive over the frozen lakes there. And “ice out” was a big calendar event, in terms of predicting and comparing the date to previous years. I was never actually on the shore for an ice out, but I am told the ice “talks” and at times sounds like an earthquake.
I hope you feel better soon. Are you making sure you are staying properly hydrated? I keep a glass of water by my side, and sip it all day long. DH, on the other hand, has a tendency to only drin when he is thirsty, which actually means it’s almost too late. ( He just had that lecture from his doctor this week. Somehow she says it and he hears. I tell him it must be that the frequency of my voice, because it sure isn’t the volume!!! Hahaha)
Feel better!

I can imagine the real things is an event to see.
DeleteBeing dehydrated was something I checked often. I drink at least four bottles of water each day, more in the car. Tommy sounds like your husband. He says he is not thirsty. I tell him when he gets thirsty, he is already dehydrated. I have not heard a doctor tell him yet. But, he does listen to doctors better than he listens to me!
I was pinching the back of my hand to check. The left had tells me I am dehydrated. The right hand does not stay up a second when I pinch it. I do wonder what that means. I just keep drinking water. I actually like water.
I may go to afc tomorrow.
I have seen both once and have no need to see either of them again
ReplyDeleteAnne,
DeleteOnce is more than enough for me.
I know of neither. Hey! I learned something !
ReplyDeleteDon't waste brain space storing these two shows.
DeleteLinda, ice that is 36 inches thick can support 110 tons of weight. A fully loaded tractor/trailer weighs about 40 tons. So it's quite safe for the trucks to drive on that lake.
ReplyDeleteKnowing it was hard water I was driving on is scary. Besides, they talked about the ice breaking.
DeleteHubby used to be a trucker so he likes Ice Road truckers and even has been in touch with some that do it for a living. The other is what a grandson watches because he likes to watch BS ...yes that is what he said it was
ReplyDeleteChef,
DeleteSo, grandson has their number?
