I Am Back

For two days I have had no internet! It is back now. I am enjoying my birthday today...well, as much as I can. A nap is in order because I made spaghetti for lunch. After the nap, exbf is taking me to dinner. Tonight or tomorrow, I will catch up on blog reading. Naps are important for cats and old ladies...lol.

    1. carol,
Last night, I kept having minicatastrophies in the kitchen and spilling things that had to be cleaned up. Actually, it was leak catastrophy over and over. I slept three hours. And, you are so right--I crashed alright!

  3. Happy birthday. I have a good friend who's anniversary is September 11th. I told her they should just change the date to make it better. Especially since her birthday is shared by Hilter. ;)

  4. Rita,
Oh? I didn't know Hitler was born on Sept. 11th. So was Bear Bryant, the legendary coach of the University of Alabama.

After 9-11 people said it was so sad my birthday was ruined. Well, I thing that that day is much worse for the almost 3000 that died and tens of thousands of friends and relatives. So, I am not sad for my birth date. Thanks.

    1. No no. Her birthday is April 20th, which is Hitler's bday. We used to laugh about how doomed her bday was because it was also the Columbine date.

And then 9/11 happens on her anniversary.

It was a bit of black humor. Maybe not so much in 2001' because I remember they attempted to still go out but it was just a disaster. It was like the world was coming to an end.

  8. Happy belated birthday, but it must make it awakward to go about yelling whoopee and leaping for joy when everyone else is all bummed about what happened 13 years ago.

    1. Snowbrush,
Thanks. Well, I don't exactly leap any more. At my age, I would be yelling "whoopee" if the clock turned backwards. My daughter from NYC called me on that birthday screaming so that I did not even know who was calling. Then, when she told me she was Lisa, I could not understand a word she said. It was a nerve wracking day for me, probably the most horrendous birthday ever.

Silly me. I thought she called to wish you happy birthday.

    5. Snowbrush,
She was terrified by the attack on 911, so she was screaming in fright as she was telling her mother what she was going through.
