so sorry to hear about the frozen shoulder. hope it's getting better?? just in case this'd apply: my mom had trouble with hers years back. Doc made her quit using an on the shoulder bag/purse and stop carrying such a heavy one.
I still carry a purse even though I know what the problem is, partly. However, I carry a smallish one without the kitchen sink and often carry it under my arm. Years of carrying babies, purses, and diaper bags have taken their toll. Of course, husband would not carry a baby or diaper bag. He was too busy being the important preacher! He was above carrying anything heavy. His pregnant wife got to do that. Last week, when I had my brakes fixed, I had to get into a tall vehicle, reach up and hoist my fatness in with left arm above my head. Then, the same vehicle was brought back to get me when the job was done! Grrr. I have an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon in two weeks. Two pain meds and prednisone seem to be helping. Thanks for asking and the info on the purse carrying.
