24 Amazing Hanger Hacks

Some of these hacks are pretty amazing. I am sure you will find something you can use.

I string clothes pins on a clothes hanger to hang more in the doorway or on the line. Which is your favorite hack?

Note: I do not use wire hangers but do have a few. I use wood or plastic hangers.

  1. While interesting, I found nothing useful because I refuse to have wire hangers in my house :)

    1. Tom Somers,
Okay, Mommy Dearest :). just teasing. While I don't use coat hangers for hanging my clothing, I do have them around. I had one or two until I found a couple needing a coat hanger to open their car, so I went into WM and bought a whole pack and gave them one.

    2. Interesting, but I'm with Tom about wire hangers. In fact, I don't even own one. I use wood mostly, but some plastic ones, and then there are the dozens and dozens that Peggy's granny made by crocheting (I guess you call it) around multiple wire-hangers. They take up less space than wood, but still protect your clothes from wire-creases, and they don’t sag like wire either.

    3. The video was interesting but I don't use wire hangers either. I save all of them from the dry cleaners and give them to the young mommies who use them at consignment sales. I personally use plastic hangers for air drying clothes (I have a hanging rod in the laundry room) and velvet covered hangers in my closets. My clothes never slip off those velvet hangers. Then wooden hangers are for TheHubs suit coats, pants and blazers.

    4. I just watched the gift wrap hack. It was pretty interesting too!

    5. Snow and Anne,
For some reason, I cannot reply separately to you. I use plastic and wood hangers.
I gave away lots of mine for consignment sales, too. I actually bought some when an elderly couple, each on an electric cart needed one to get into their car. I have thought about getting the velvet covered hangers. But, nothing slips off my plastic hangers I bought from a store going out of business in the mall. They have the notches on top to hold clothes onto the hangers.

    6. Anne,
There are so many different videos that I could stay entertained for a while.

  2. I have used the pool noodle idea for hanging slacks. Most of my wire hangers were used for flower baskets. I hate hanging baskets so high you can only see the bottom. Lots of these hacks would be good in a small apartment.

    1. carol,
You are right about hanging baskets not visible. Using coat hangers is a great idea to bring them down to a height you can enjoy them.

Okay, hoping the annoyances have gone away.
