Hi Linda...what a shame that bacon is so good and so bad for you. I love bacon as long as it's not limp and greasy, But I seldom buy it because of high blood pressure and also price. I do love to order a BLT when we are out.
Carol, It must be crisp for me, no white fatty part. I do drain it, but the exterior undrained fat is not a biggie. I don't have high blood pressure, but I don't eat it often because of nitrates. In the summer a BLT is soooo good. In the winter I like it with scrambled eggs. If I have it alone, grape jelly is good on the bacon.
Crisp, crisp, crisp but I confess I can eat it hot or room temp. I like my BLT with Vine ripe tomatoes, lots of bacon and crisp lettuce and Duke's mayo. Only Duke's will do for me.
I like all bacon, prefer it crisp the most, but I'll eat it soggy too, ha. And a BLT is SO good isn't it? Bacon is one of the worlds most perfect foods, ha.
1st Man, Those little fatty ends are the worst--uncooked bacon. After getting rid of those, I do like all bacon. BLTs definitely are a one-of-a-kind experience. As long as I don't get pancreatic cancer like my father and his mother, I'm in on the perfection.
