$10 Closer to Christmas

Remember these? I bought Energizer batteries, 2 8-packs, entered the codes on the internet, and received $10 gift cards. So far, I have three of these ($30) for Christmas and am expecting one more. Exbf turned in enough of my codes to get me 4 more $10 cards. I will be set for Christmas!

Your turn
Did anyone turn in codes and receive these cards?

  2. This is GREAT! Good for you. Free is always good especially when you are purchasing something you need in the process [the batteries] What a wonderful Christmas "present". :)

    1. skippy mom,
Yes, so true. And, the older g-kids may get batteries for Christmas...and socks. The nineteen year old g-son gives no clues. The 13-yr-old is easy-- a girl who likes pink and most any color leggings.

  3. Wow, I missed this promotion and we need batteries. Is it still going on? Were they purchased originally at WalMart? Dang I miss all the good stuff.

    1. 1st man,
The ones I bought were from WM and gave the best rebate. I also saw the promotion at Office Max, Lowe's and some other place. The one at WM ends on 8-14, but I don't know about the others. The packages of any Engergizer batteries had a blue peelie on the front. I forgot what color the other stores had or when it ends. I looked at WM today and at Lowe's and there were no other packages left. However, there may be some where you live. Next year or rather this fall or sometime, if they have the same promotion, I will put it on my blog.

So, I paid like $1.67 for the package of batteries and have $10 to spend. I only bought AAs and AAAs, but there were others, even round batteries, I think with the blue peelie.

  6. Sonya Ann,
$400 seems like a lot to me! But, I have lower expectations...lol...and fewer to buy for, I am quite sure. Slowly is the way to get a thing done.

  7. Linda, I need to absorb your frugal energy! I always say I am the frugalista, but I'm not consistent. I need to pay close attention and follow your lead, ha ha.

    Thanks for the post!

    1. Cherdo,
I do have my slips on being frugal occasionally. Follow along and we can encourage each other.

Okay, hoping the annoyances have gone away.
