Caterpillar's attitude is familiar - and shocking. He will never have to wonder whether he can feed himself or his family, heat or cool their homes, or put off medical attention. Profit/money are NOT everything in my world - which probably explains why I am not wealthy.
EC, I suppose I should have said that his stating that horrible sentiment was surprising. I wonder how much corporate welfare he gets. How much does the government support CAT employees so the company can make more profits.
Maybe I should have paid more attention to profits to improve my situation now. I never set out to be wealthy. Looks like I succeeded.
That's just sad. X used to work at a company where they paid bonuses, not once a year, but every quarter, based on profits. If more companies did the same, the huge gap between the rich and the poor might be a tiny bit smaller.
