Tomorrow

Yes, I will go to Urgent Care. I am not sure how long I would have to wait tonight, and I cannot CANNOT sit very long. Plus, I need a bath before I present myself anywhere! I am too sick to go to the doctor. That is what I told my mother when I was about eight-years-old and I was trying to talk her out of a trip to get a shot. Yes, I always got a shot back then. I am going to ask for one when I go in the morning.

I went out to close up the hens. Something was exiting their pen, ran to the fence, leapt up, and over it went. Patsy Cline and Thelma made so much racket when the animal left, jumped down and ran out to me. They don't want to go back in and it's almost dark. They followed me to the porch. They better not be on the railing near the door!

Okay, I went out and checked just now as I had an urgent feeling. They are such good hens and went back to their pen. There was so little light in the sky, but I could see they were standing instead of sitting as they usually do this time of night. They did not have their heads tucked for sleep! I looked where they were looking.

RACCOON

I am also too sick to deal with a raccoon!

gotta go

    1. Thanks. I knew what you meant. Does anyone know a prepper near me that might like to practice survival skills? I will catch him and they can kill and cook.

Thanks. It is 9:40, and I am going to bed.

  4. Peggy broke her foot while stacking heavy oak firewood while wearing flipflops. I thought it was a cause for urgency, but she insisted a shower before I took her to the ER.

I wish you well, Linda. I wish I could do something to help.

    1. Snowbrush,
I do understand the bath before ER. I would shower, too. I hope she wears steel toed boots now. Thanks, I wish someone could help!

  5. I am so sorry. I hope you get the medical help you need. And I too have waited until I felt well enough to wash before seeing a doctor.
Forgive my ignorance, but do raccoons threaten chickens? We don't have them here and I know next to nothing about them - except the possibly apocryphal story that they wash all their food.

    1. Raccoons kill chickens. Raccoons have killed some of my chickens. They rip open their chests and leave them. I read that raccoons seem to wash their food, but that they use the water to soften their palms so they can handle it better. But, who knows?...lol.

I am just washing the basics before leaving to go to doctor,

  6. Hoping it is only a virus and not something you need an antibiotic for. Unfortunately all those shots they gave us as children have made so many of the antibiotics ineffective and the bugs stronger. Most of the time it is a virus that just needs to run its course and an antibiotic will do no good.

    1. Jane,
I know I do need a three or four day round of cortisone. I just need some relief in any form.

    2. I have asthma and any cold ends up going to my lungs and taking forever to get rid of. It's about the only time I need to use my inhaler. Hoping you feel better soon.

Okay, hoping the annoyances have gone away.
