This summer, I will be taking in quite a few movies with the deal below.
“SKS will run at our location every Tuesday and Thursday at 10 a.m. from June 2 through August 4. “This special includes admission to the chosen movie, a 16 oz. drink and a 46 oz. popcorn for only $4 plus tax. This is for all customers regardless of age. It is truly an amazing offer!”
The movie schedule for SKS is as follows:
June 9 “The Croods”
June 14 & 16 “Epic”
June 21 & 23 “Home”
June 28 & 30 “How to Train Your Dragon 2”
July 5 & 7 “Kung Fu Panda 2”
July 12 & 14 “Monsters vs. Aliens”
July 19 & 21 “Rio 2”
July 26 & 28 “The Peanuts Movie”
August 2 & 4 “Penguins of Madagascar”
I just read the list to exbf. He has seen several of these on tv. I don't even eat popcorn. If I drink that much Coke, I will have to go to the bathroom several times. You know where I will be every week. Well, if I can afford the $4.40!
Before I go to these movies, I will check them out online.
Your turn
Maybe you have a Carmike Cinema with a similar program. Would you go to any of these children's movies?
Yes there are several I would see that I have seen already. Just for the popcorn and soda. Watching a movie in the theater with others is more fun.

DeleteI think the popcorn and soda are more than $4 at the movie, so it is altogether a good deal. This will be something to look forward to each week.
I took 4 kids and myself to "Jurassic World" last summer. For a matinee, bargain popcorn and soda, it cost over $60.00. The movie was painfully bad to boot. So, financially speaking, your deal is great. I would take my kids to them at that time and price. Only one is young enough to get up that early in the morning in the summer, though!
ReplyDeleteGenerally speaking, though I loathe going to movies, with the "Harry Potter" movies beingvthe exception.
Meg,
DeleteThat price took my breath away. My children never got soda and popcorn. My daughter lives in NYC and has never taken hers to the movies...well, last we talked she had not.
I don't have to see every movie like some people I know. I go maybe once or twice a year. A few years ago, it was three years between movies.
The newspaper article had an interview with four fifteen-year-old girls who said they would come back again.
I only saw three of the Harry Potter movies and read all the books.
Enjoy! The only one I have seen is The Crood's and it is a cute movie
ReplyDeleteAnne,
DeleteI will! Crood is the one that played before I read about this program.
