Making do--car antenna
Make do antenna
I passed this car in a parking lot. I thought this was clever idea if it works. Does it? This car was definitely a beater, but the radio obviously works.
Your turn
Will this pick up a signal so the radio works? Have you ever used a clothes hanger for you radio antenna?

I think it does work, I've seen it a few times here in the UK, so I assume it does, otherwise why would anyone do it!
ReplyDeleteLL Cool Joe,
DeleteI don't know. I thought maybe it could be just a joke.
Don't know if it works on cars but we have a TV antenna in the attic made of a block of wood for stability and a wire coat hanger and some aluminum foil. Brings in the local stations. We don't & won't have cable or satellite TV.
ReplyDeleteBellen,
DeleteI have had two chimneys that I believe are responsible for the fact that for years made tv possible here. Now, I have an antenna outdoors so I don't have to pay for cable.
We do what we must do!
ReplyDeleteCherdo,
DeleteI will remember this if I ever lose my car antenna.
I have seen it before but never done it personally.
ReplyDeleteAnne,
DeleteI must say this is the first time I have seen this. But, I won't soon forget.
