mmmmm
As of now, 3:30 a.m., My county in Alabama is the most affected by ice in the state. And, my city is the area in the county with the most ice on streets and highways.
No, I did not mean that kind of lucky. Besides, I was being sarcastic.
Your turn
Is the weather icy or turning worse? Have you seen these pretty M&Ms? A bag was my Valentine's this year, not a sad thing, just a fact...lol.
A bag of chocolate is never a sad thing! :-D
ReplyDeleteSue, So true!
DeleteI have a good friend in N AL and they have several inches of snow. It's so pretty and not too cold. We have lots of snow on the ground and it was 20 below zero when I got up.
ReplyDeletePatti,
DeleteThere will be more snow tomorrow. In what city does she live?
,Oh my, that is too low to be living in this house., In what area do you live?
I have a former classmate now living in AL. She posted a photo on FB of the grocery stores, shelves completely cleared. I don't envy you all :( I drove to work in 4 degree weather today, but it'll reach the 50s by Thursday. Supposed to stay in the 40s/50s for quite a while. I sure hope so!
ReplyDeletetlc,
DeleteCan you share the city in which she lives? I only got milk yesterday when I saw the bad weather was going to be delayed a bit. Now, I have two gallons. I think it was 32 this morning. The weather is going to be in the 50s this next week. sooo strange.
Some of the best things in life are chocolate.
ReplyDeleteAnd I am still envying your cooler temperatures. Yes, and the snow. We are still in a heat wave and bush fires continue to take out homes, livestock, wildlife... And in other parts of Oz the flood waters are rising.
EC,
DeleteChocolate is a great food. My hens don't think much of the snow. They rushed the door and stopped short. I worry about the people in OZ with all the fires and floods for years now. I can send you some snow!
In SW Florida the temps will be in the 70s, sorry for all of you with really low temps and lousy weather, but it is the reason we moved here. Anyway, at Walmart today all the grocery aisles were clogged with flat-bed carts loaded with boxes to restock the shelves. The last time there was bad weather north of us the store was out of stock of lots of things, not completely but enough to hear grumblings from everyone shopping.
ReplyDeleteStay warm, indoors, off the roads and make that chocolate last!
Bellen,
DeleteI may not like this, but it beats hurricanes...lol. Do you mean that people travel south to where you are to get supplies? When those carts are in the aisles, shopping takes four times as long. Sometimes I go after midnight and have a problem traversing the aisles.
I am indoors, very cold, and all those M&Ms are gone. But, I had them for two weeks. I still have chocolate syrup, brownie mixes, and cocoa. I think I can survive. Thanks for the good thoughts.
I meant that Walmart employees were blocking the aisles and restocking - guess the stores were overstocking in anticipation of supplies being held up because of the weather
DeleteLinda today was a non event that was hyped because of the snow 2 weeks ago.Now tommarow may be a differant story.I am typing this after making a candy run to the DG.I plan on enjoying the snow it will be gone by friday morning.
ReplyDeleteI noticed not much happened up this way. Of course, I have no idea where you are located, so I may not be up to you.
DeleteThose survival runs ARE necessary. If I have Coke, bananas, milk I am happy. I have two gallons of milk, only two bananas, and two cases of 24 Cokes. None was bought for the storm, just what I had. Well, I did get the extra gallon of milk.
Gary,
At 10:30, the news was that the freezing temperature may be further to the north, so my area might get only rain. So, the 3-6 inches of snow may not happen. Right now, at 1 am, it is raining only. But it is 34 F degrees.
