I Frightened the Nurse

When I awoke after anesthesia, I was alone in the same room where the procedure was done. I heard someone and said, "Is it to over?"

The nurse shrieked and gasped, "You SCARED me!? When I asked her why, she said she did not expect me to be awake and talking.

Before and after the procedure, I watched patients being wheeled out of the area. All were pale, had eyes closed, and looked like they were dead to the world. Yes, they had the procedure done.

She said she might as well take me back to the room since I was awake, that she was going to take me back later.

I went to  bed at 8 pm while exbf was here still doing things for me. When I awoke at 2 am, I felt fine, but now I am sleepy again.

  1. Glad it's over - I am a bit concerned about the nurse however. Her reaction to your recovery needs some work. Not everyone responds in the same way to anesthesia.

  3. Cherdo,,
Thanks. I was still woozyt when I posted. The computer makes a burning smell when I open it, so I may not be able to post much. There are pieces off it and I saw a red glow which was NOT fire, but it still smells of electrical burning.

    1. LL Cool Joe,
It smells of electric fire. So, I never leave it alone for a second when it is plugged in. I unplug the power cord when I walk away or go to bed. It is scary.

LOLOL, so funny. You are so sweet not to talk about my embarrassing moments. Why don't I trust any of you? LOL

When I am woozy, I want to sleep, not confess.

  7. Hope you're feeling OK and take care with that computer. It's not right that it smells of burning and could be dangerous.

    1. Jess,
Thanks. Right now, "taking care" is trying to stay cool. It is after midnight and it is 75 degrees here and the ac filter needs to be cleaned! I am so hot right now!

  9. Glad you got through the operation in one piece. Bonus that you scared the nurse. Major bonus points for that!

Points subtracted for burning computer syndrome, though. Get it fixed before it melts down like Three Mile Island.

  10. 444,
I rarely turn it on. When I turn it off, I unplug it. I still fear it could burst into flames. At least, there is no battery. How many points subtracted for accidentally burning down the house? Now, I am giving myself nightmares!

Major bonus points for scaring the nurse? I usually have them laughing.
