Sunday was a drowsy day, cloudy, bit of sprinkles,
We had leftovers here, so no need to cook. I had salad, chicken and tomato on top. Tommy made a couple of pizzas made from a hamburger bun, cooked chopped ground pork, spaghetti sauce, and mozzarella cheese. He also had a small salad.
Tomorrow is Veteran's Day, known as Armistice Day when I was young. It is also my brother's birthday. He died in 2001 at the age of 52. I am still so sad. My younger brother should not have died before me!
None of my joints in my fingers have ever been swollen. Now, I have a joint in my little finger on my right hand that is swollen and aching. Plus, it feels like I have poison oak on a portion of my right hand, but not on the little finger. I have no idea what is developing, but it is making me miserable.
So many Christmas movies and specials are being advertised for this season. I am going to write them all down so I don't miss any of them. Clark Griswold is now loose in Europe. I never watch the Hallmark movies. The third Vacation one showing tonight just came on....yay.
Do you remember when Nov 11 was Armistice Day?
What are your must-see movies for the holiday season?
Our grade school used to make hamburger bun pizzas and they were a student favorite. They also made peanut butter and butter sandwiches, which were also a favorite. I love having leftovers and no need to cook more food. Some of our go to movies for Christmas include Jack frost Christmas with the Kranks, and Elf along with several others.
ReplyDeleteBelinda,
DeleteI don't think I ever had pizza at all in school or pbj sandwiches. I saw ELF for the first time last year and have never seen Kranks.
My favorite Christmas movies are "It's a Wonderful Life" and "Merry Christmas Charlie Brown." I also like the Walton's "The Homecoming" --the one before the show becase a series. Any production of "A Christmas Carol" (the older, the better!) is also good viewing.
ReplyDeleteI adore old movies. My kids like to tease me about black&white films. But those little cretins wouldn't know fine cinema if it kicked them in the ass...LOL!
I have never seen "Home Alone" nor any of the Clark Griswold movies! Chevy Chase is just not my cup of tea. And NO to Hallmark. It's all cheese & saccharine.
Sue,
DeleteThose are really good movies! Have you seen "A Christmas Carol" with Kelsey Grammer? I agree--the older the better.
My children laughed at the original King Kong. I almost cried. Cretins is the truth.
Did not mean to publish. I love the Home Alone movies and see all of them every year. I love Chevy Chase! He is cute, too.
