Easiest Dinner Ever

I am not recommending cooking like this. But, I was amazed. What is your opinion about this cooking method? Would you ever cook like this?

Easiest Dinner Ever: Delicious, Quick, and No Fuss! | Watch

This short, dreary day has about gotten the best of me. I do have plans to declutter a bit so the day will not be a loss in terms of decluttering.

Dinner was hamburger and salad.

Yes, SAD has set in for me.

Would you ever cook like the woman did?

What has been happening in your world?

  1. This is really just a much bigger variation of a sheet pan meal. I personally would not ever do it for a holiday because there is no presentation. It is just slopping food on a plate.
And even if I was crazy enough to try it some non holiday occasion, I dang well would not make it in an aluminum disposal pan. For me that would be a disaster waiting to happen

    1. Anne,
It was still a sloppy way to cook. At least when I cook multiple things in a pan, I never just pour soup in or dump dry dressing.
Oh, that disposable, flimsy pan would have to go on a pan. I cannot imagine what a leak or a folding pan would do.

  2. I think a lot of people who create these cooking videos on social sites are just clueless. That particular video had so many issues. First she started off wearing gloves…a good thing. By the end she was gloveless and just smacking her hands all over that raw meat. Second, I have never seen anybody use that much butter. Two sticks plus an unknown amount melted and poured on. I am all for one pot meals; but, everything about this was absurd.

I have noticed many if these “cooks” don’t wash any of the items they cook…or even their hands when handling various things after handling raw meat. The pan was wrong. Some aspects of this would have been ok for a casual family meal but certainly not Thanksgiving.

I, personally, gag when I see them handle, touch and mix with their hands.

    1. Pudge,
You practically wrote my next post. I know these women think they can make a video and maybe make money. But, this is not their forte. I wonder what they do when we are not watching.

I thought that was two pounds of butter she shoved up that turkey and then at least a cup of melted butter. Maybe not.

Some of these cooks are just disgusting.

  3. NOPE. In my opinion most of it would be gross at the end. Cooking a turkey takes time and the other things would just be overcooked and mush. Waaaaay too much butter!!!!
The pan - yikes - it needs a solid pan. I know a lot of people cook turkeys in aluminum pans - I would at least double them!

    1. Cheryl,
Yes, four hour green beans!!! More butter than a family needs in a month!
I would put the pan on a baking sheet. Can you imagine if that pan folded up?

Okay, hoping the annoyances have gone away.
