Free RED Table

Okay, so maybe it is a little garish photographed in front of that blue metal door. I found this in the lobby of a storage unit and asked the attendant if it were abandoned. She called the lady who owned it. It was mine.

It can be re-painted. I'm not sure why it looks so spotty. The only place red would fit in my home is in the kitchen. But, I love the table.

I asked exbf stand beside it to show the scale. The table is so heavy. I had to pay someone $5 to come and put it in the unit. That person was much stronger than I, and she thought it was heavy. So did exbf and he is not weak.

I have a much longer and lower coffee table, trestle table under the picture window that  holds the TV. I think this would be an upgrade, not in quality, but in style, except the coffee table is natural wood with veneer, an antique. I don't paint furniture unless it is just so shabby that paint improves it.

Your turn
Do you like it? The style? The color? Would you paint it? It is not so orange-y in real life.

  1. I love the red! It would really show off some of your chicken-related items in the kitchen if you could use it there. Still, it's a great find.

  4. YOU'RE BACK? YOU'RE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Paint it? What, red? Nothing could be prettier than that. And, you could always shorten the legs if you wanted a coffee table, but I love it just the way it is.

    1. Sue,
The bones attracted me. There is always paint. lol The red certainly would not go with your other décor.

  7. I really like it too. Just last December I bought a little red cabinet for my dining room. I love it but when we have a lot of guests and have to pull the table out to accommodate them I need to move the little cabinet or there just isn't enough room. That is a royal pain!

Let me say again how glad I am to see you back. I'm sure you have a lot to tell us.

  8. Janet,
This table will replace a longer coffee table, so there will be no moving it out of the way. Yes, I know it must be a pain to move the cabinet. Maybe you will discover a better place for it.

Yes, I do have lots to tell and many pictures. I went to doctor on 4th and am still ill, so I am slow to process all the stuff I do have. I will have to post twice a day to catch up...lol. I missed all of you coming by.

Okay, hoping the annoyances have gone away.
