Maybe you can chop up some of the bread and fry up some croutons. Add some cheese and spices. Put in plastic bags and will keep longer than the plain bread. Also great to snack on. And using the stove will help heat up your house. Good luck on eating it all up!tana50https://www.blogger.com/profile/04610911774620693819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3321084510373631678.post-38750895772031802782015-02-18T14:49:17.039-06:002015-02-18T14:49:17.039-06:00Snowbrush,

I have bought at sales when I did not realize I had plenty.

That is not an expiration date. It is a "best if used by" date. So, it can still be used safely. I would only get rid of food if the taste, color, or texture changed. It still won't hurt you even if it is not so tasty. Right now, I have four jars of mayonnaise that expire this month, but the more I think about why I have so many, the more sure I am that the problem was that I bought them on sale without knowing how many I already had at home.Snowbrushhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00436087215476479042noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3321084510373631678.post-29831391109228402242015-02-18T13:17:53.515-06:002015-02-18T13:17:53.515-06:00Sonya Ann,

This store moved to a new store last fall that is right next to the housing projects, so hopefully the people there will keep it open by purchasing enough to keep it open. We have to drive about 20 minutes to get to the nearest one but it is a pepridge farm one so it is amazingly good. I spent $25 last time but I gave a lot away. Plus we got a wonderful cake. I got an "imposter recipe" and made them with the help of my bread machine. It's a molasses, brown sugar, and honey (with cocoa thrown in as a "cheat" for color) whole wheat bread, basically.444https://www.blogger.com/profile/18317761558076527630noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3321084510373631678.post-1062800773865234152015-02-18T09:31:08.726-06:002015-02-18T09:31:08.726-06:00I'm pretty good about not buying too many of o...I'm pretty good about not buying too many of one grocery item.
