S.H.O.C.K.E.D I did have backlighting from a street light...lol.I threw the black tablecloth over a chair so I would have a background. It worked.Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14991571309786149363noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3321084510373631678.post-22764003490685163272011-11-03T02:42:55.914-05:002011-11-03T02:42:55.914-05:00Don't you love it when photos turn out better ...Don't you love it when photos turn out better than you expected? Mine are all flukes though, if I had any that worked, LOL. I have a few that exceeded my expectations, but most of the time I battle my camera. So yay for photos that work!!

That may have to be my Halloween story, considering we don't celebrate it here in Australia. My camera is possessed with the anti image, LOL. Your's is not. :)Chris https://www.blogger.com/profile/13715819899708384147noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3321084510373631678.post-49900655050712369452011-11-02T19:08:30.715-05:002011-11-02T19:08:30.715-05:00Forgot to add that the photo is beautiful!Forgot to add that the photo is beautiful!LindaMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03624659670781181099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3321084510373631678.post-73785392437577405002011-11-02T09:23:27.498-05:002011-11-02T09:23:27.498-05:00Bld,

I keep laughing at the gorilla falling down and his fate. Historic Districts can be fun fun fun or stodgy. That sounds like a great street party.

I suspect the woman just used this very sturdy, engraved box to hold candles after she used the originals. It was an estate sale. The box was 50 years old. But, it made a great effect.

Thanks so much for sharing your Halloween.Practical Parsimonyhttp://www.practical-parsimony.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3321084510373631678.post-75923446576952025782011-11-01T20:47:26.285-05:002011-11-01T20:47:26.285-05:00I didn't get dressed up, but I did hand out ca...I didn't get dressed up, but I did hand out candy and take a walk about the neighborhood. It was quite decked out. I live in a historic area of town and they block off some of the streets and the homeowners really go all out. Then the streets are crawling with just hundreds of kids. It is really a spectacle to behold. The highlights from yesterday were #1 A homemade pink carriage complete with lights and stepping boards carrying four adorable little princesses. #2 Hearing "The Devil Went Down to Georgia" blaring from a front porch only to follow the music to discover a live band and a whole yard full of dressed up people dancing all get out. There was a gorilla that danced until he fell down at which point people started pinching his fake, gorilla nipples. It was wild, just wild. I was kicking myself for not carrying my camera, but it probably would have been to dark anyways. Oh, it was fun.

GREAT photo indeed, by the way. Dripless candles....not so much, are they?!BLD in MThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08497511995276601468noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3321084510373631678.post-54969769362252758552011-11-01T20:18:21.195-05:002011-11-01T20:18:21.195-05:00No, that is a good story. If it was the same body type and height, it probably was the host. Now, that is strange. But, I am glad you told us that is where you met your husband.Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14991571309786149363noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3321084510373631678.post-26567518129248322262011-11-01T16:35:23.849-05:002011-11-01T16:35:23.849-05:00Love that poem....hmm....We went to a party where ...Love that poem....hmm....We went to a party where the host never showed up. It was in a rented hall and he was a well known lawyer. There was a man there dressed in a plaid polyestor suit and wearing a paper bag on his head. The bag was tied on with a rope and hade eye holes cut out. He stood alone all night just watching people- never responding to anyone. Nobody knew who he was but forever since then, we thought it was the host. He said he had an emergency case that night so never showed up. hm.
Thats where I met my husband btw.
Okay, not very creepy but if you were there, bag man would of creeped you out like he did me.LindaMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03624659670781181099noreply@blogger.com
